I took my sons 2006 ***** Z71 to Eagle Transmission for the four-wheel drive transfer case repair. *** was excellent to work with. He explained the repairs in detail and why the repairs were needed. Repairs were completed in a timely manner and the 4wd is working better than ever. This is a family owned business, NOT a commercial business with greedy, corporate owners. I will be using them for any future transmission repairs!

Tab did not reimburse me one thousand dollar core fee

Hi "*******" (we don't have any records of doing business with "****************"). However, we did replace a transmission for a "*****************************" on a 2018 ****** Rav4 in August of 2023. "*******" was advised that her transmission was bad and that it would be more cost effective to replace it with a factory reman unit versus a custom in house rebuild. She did authorize this work and was told that the transmission was a special order item and we had to pay for it upfront, when the order was placed. She seemed to understand this with no problems. She did come into the shop two days later and tried to pick up her car. At that time, the special order transmission had already been delivered. I never told her she could not have her car back. I did tell her that if she wanted to pick it up, without the special order transmission installed, she would have to pay for that transmission including the core charge. (The core charge is refunded to us when the old transmission is returned to the place we ordered it from.) We finished the install of her reman transmission. However, she stated that she didn't have all the money at one time. I then told her we could store the car at the North Austin location where it would be kept behind a secure fence. (The storage was at no additional cost to her. The car was in storage for 4 months. We also paid for the car to be towed to storage as well as when it was towed back. Again, no additional cost to her.) On our invoice, she was never charged the core charge (nor do we charge any customer a core charge). She was given an itemized invoice when she finally picked up her car. We were NEVER informed about some mysterious extended warranty until weeks after she picked her car. I have never talked with or had knowledge of this "warranty". I do, however, take offense to the slanderous accusations of taking advantage of female customers. This is a family owned and operated company. Not only does my wife work here, but so does my daughter and granddaughter. In closing, I will be happy to talk with her "extended warranty" company to try to convince them to help her out.
