I purchased a Honda Pilot Elite as a company vehicle. The driver seat is very uncomfortable. Upon sharing my concerns with the dealership, I was told that perhaps I am "sensitive". I have had others drive the vehicle since and no I am not losing my mind. There is a manufacturer defect in the seat. I decided to run an experiment.....I had a 100% Honda lover, has a honda with no knowledge of the problem. He reported that there is something "strange" with the seat. Should be an 8 way with lumbar for an ELITE, but does not work correctly. The seat is defective, the dealership said this is normal due to cool seats and air bladders in the seat. I have ***** SUV with A/C seats, no problem. Own a Jeep with cooled seats, no problem. A friend that drove this new Honda owns a ****** SUV with cooled seats, no problem. The dealership offered to buy back for 5K less than what I paid or I could go have a custom seat installed another 4-5K. And this is Honda's Elite. This SUV was purchased as a company car through Honda Business Account. Our company purchases cars and trucks through our fleet accounts and interact with dealerships more than the average buyer. Upon sharing my concerns with this dealership (first time to purchase from this dealer) I did not feel heard and the problem was not addressed. It was more we will purchase back at 5K less (which is a 10K loss with TTL for our company) or you can deal with it yourself. WOW Company Business Owners....Beware When I was finally able to speak with a sales rep, I requested that they address my concerns. If not, I would like to rescind my purchase and return the car, note there is less than 200 miles on this vehicle. ****** basically said that it was my problem, I purchased and have possession of the vehicle. I immediately contacted our corporate lawyer (more money to shell out) and he provided to the dealership, a notice to rescind. ******** comments clearly communicated to our company that Honda is not geared to support corporate accounts.First Texas Honda Response

*****, thank you for being our client. We want all of our guests to have an exceptional sales experience with us, so we are disappointed to know this is the impression you were left with. This situation was concerning to us, so our team was eager to investigate right away. After comparing the seats in your vehicle to the seats in a Pilot of the same trim level, we were unable to identify a difference. If the seat is defective, the best course of action would be to bring the vehicle in for service so we can address the issue. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at ************************************** I am always happy to help in any way I can. Thank you, and have a wonderful day. - *******************, Service DirectorReview from E. G.

You know car dealerships are known for treating women badl but this dealership takes it to a whole new level. Also we're in a pandemic, they aren't keeping social distancing or wearing masks. Austin is in stage 5 of covid and they're making no effort to keep customers safe or implacable or employees. A rock hit my windshield and because my car is a 2020 I was unable to get a windshield from a another supplier, So I made numerous calls to this dealership about the repair before I scheduled the work to be done . I had also called a dealership in *********** and they had said they could do it in o eday I regret not taking them up on it. I scheduled the appointment with the express intent to have my car back in 2 days because I use my car for work, the loner car has limited miles and and limited my ability to make money. When I dropped the car off I talked to my service technician and he said it he said it'll be a couple of days and I said it will be done in a couple of days correct?? And he said That he would have an estimate back to me, I told him we had already had the estimate and that is the work that I wanted done , But if there were any other charges to let me know. There were safety recalls but I would have kept my own safety Paramount instead of exposing myself at self at this dealership with their careless covid practices and limiting my ability to make money. They didn't get back to me with an estimate for 3 days the 2 days that I had been I"d was completely forgotten and when I brought this up to the service tech, He rudely informed me that I didn't have to get my work done there and that I could pick the car up. There is no reason to be rude when somebody is just asking for the work that they had arranged to be done. They have not ordered the windshield or or had anything ready when they scheduled my appointment. They kept my car a total of 5 days,And when I got back I had to deal with the same rude person driving my car with no mask. When I pointed out that there was no reason to be rude to women, especially in a car dealership he took zero responsibility and said he had been told to be rude to me, by his boss. So there you have it, It sounds minor except this is their pattern of behavior as you can see from previous complaints, if you can take your car anywhere other than here do it, do not go to first texas honda unless you like being lied to and being insulted.First Texas Honda Response

******, we truly do not know what to say. Our team went above and beyond to provide a stellar experience for you and ensure your needs were met, so we are confused as to where this is coming from. The service advisor you worked with and our service director treated you with an immense amount of dignity and respect. In return, they received the complete opposite from you. We strongly believe there needs to be respect coming from both parties in order for any transaction to be successful and, unfortunately, that did not happen in this case. With that being said, it is clear we are not a great fit and we wish you the best of luck in finding a service facility that best suits your needs. - The Team at First Texas HondaCustomer Response

There is no covid protection happening even though we are in stage 5. I can show you the screenshot of the text message that was completely disrespectful. I. I scheduled an appointment and that was not honored, there was nothing positive about the interaction with the sales consultant.. And then when I picked up my car he was driving it with no mask on to add injury to all the insults.Customer Response

WARNING!!!!! CROOKED SCAMMERS! Considering this a 7 On Your Side issue. I bought my new Element at ***************** (FTH) in 2008. All my car maintenance has been performed by this dealership since that purchase and I have never had any issues (no upcharges for work and no unnecessary repairs), that is until now. Whomever assumed chage of this service department is a SCAMMER and I WARN you to get a 2nd opinion on any repair or maintenance they suggest. The same time last year, I went in to have a key made and to get a new FOB. The technician ended up wrecking my driver side door tumbler and blamed it on me. When I left a message to speak with the manager, I was never called. I didnt follow up because I had recently broken my leg and was already overwhelmed dealing with that. I thought this was a one-off considering my long history of good with FTH. Sadly, it was not. A year passed and I was about to make a trip to Kentucky to volunteer for a charity event. Before making the drive, I needed my tires rotated (free because I purchased my tires at FTH), wanted a safety inspection, and my driver door tumbler fixed (pathetic me is still entering my car through the passenger side to unlock my door). Apparently, the safety check revealed my steering rack was cracked and leaking and to replace/repair would cost $4798.29 and take THREE days to get the parts. There were a few additional suggested items that I DID NOT NEED and if I didnt know any better would have had done -that would have added $824 (alignment, spark plugs, serpentine belt, fuel system treatment). TOTAL suggested repairs: $5622.23 I had to cancel my trip (lost $200.00 for Airbnb no refund) and left the volunteer event short staffed because I had to consider repairing (car dangerous to drive) vs. buying another car (with 173K mi it seemed the repair amount would be better as a down payment on another car). Making this worse, if I did get a new car, my trade-in value would be SIGNIFICANTLY decreased considering all the needed repairs. After researching the diagnosis, my car had ZERO symptoms of leaking and ZERO steering issues (no shaking, creaks, or clunks); I decided to get some additional professional opinions. The first garage flushed the power steering fluid and a headlight ($130) they found NOTHING wrong. To be extra sure, third garage found NOTHING -NO LEAKS, NO CRACKS, **** and said EVERYTHING else looked great, no need for any of what FTH! So, if you continue to use ***************** for your maintenance and repairs, you do so at your own risk. HA! I just tried to post this review and ***** ONLY posts positives.First Texas Honda Response

My 2019 Accord was due for a fuel pump recall (NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V215000), so I took it in to First Texas Honda and they completed a “remedy” by replacing it. 2 weeks later, I drove my car for the first slightly longer trip of 100 miles at night, and the car lost its power on the highway. Pretty much all the malfunction indicator lights were on, the dashboard LCD displayed failure of all major systems, and the car would not start again. I had it towed to another Honda dealership, who told me that the new fuel pump First Texas Honda installed for the recall was probably not done properly and that some o-ring had worn out. They had to replace the fuel pump again. It appears that First Texas Honda made an awful mistake on the recall that could have resulted in an accident. Compared to the mistake they made, I'm more dissatisfied with the fact that my detailed review on ****** about this matter was deleted by them. That's why I would like to share my experience elsewhere like here on BBB.First Texas Honda Response
