We hired movers through Caddy Moving on June 17th. One mover arrived at the previously agreed upon time. Another mover arrived over an hour later. The movers dispatched to our home were clearly not vetted for skill or experience and lacked fundamental training in using standard moving equipment (e.g., dollies), navigating stairs, or handling items safely and responsibly. They both stated it was their first day ever moving furniture. Their inability to manage the job resulted in significant property damage, despite our own proactive efforts to prepare the home and supervise their work. The movers frequently were unable to perform standard tasks (moving standard size boxes or furniture, causing the us, the clients, to do a majority of the heavy lifting. When I called the dispatch service to speak to them about this, I was told to make a claim. The movers: -Frequently dropped standard household items on the hardwood stairs.-Lacked awareness of proper lifting techniques.-Required our assistance in moving, lifting, and stabilizing standard household items.-Had no apparent training The damage in the pictures shows the following: Hardwood Staircase: Multiple deep gouges, scratches, and splintering due to items being dropped or dragged. These are not minor cosmetic damages; they are structural and visible.Walls and Corners: ******, bent corner beads, and visible damage to drywall corners throughout the stairway area, from improper maneuvering and failure to protect surfaces. Front door: gasket on front door torn due to dragging material LVP flooring: deep ***** on transition molding, ***** in LVP flooring This was observed during the move and noted by movers as well as spoken about to the dispatcher and customer service during the move. The company had admitted fault via phone and email, and only offered a minor refund of $30, which doesnt even cover the amount of time labor was not performed, let alone the extensive damages to our newly constructed house.Business Response

Dear BBB and *****,
My name is ******* Operations Manager at Caddy Moving. Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns regarding your move on June 17th. We sincerely regret that your experience did not meet your expectations.
After a thorough review of your case including mover reports, dispatch records, internal notes, and photos of the reported damage we have determined that the wear described is consistent with the inherent risks of the moving process, particularly involving stairs, tight corners, and pre-installed or finished home features.
As outlined in our Terms of Service, which are acknowledged prior to booking, Caddy Moving does not provide compensation for damage arising from standard risks associated with moving. This includes but is not limited to minor dents, surface scuffs, or cosmetic damage caused during standard handling, especially in homes with sensitive flooring, staircases, or newly finished materials.
While we understand the disappointment, we respectfully stand by our previously issued goodwill refund of $30, which was not an admission of fault but rather a courtesy for the disruption. We consider the matter closed at this time.
We do take all customer feedback seriously and are continuing to refine mover onboarding and dispatch coordination to improve future service quality.
Sincerely,
SierraInitial Complaint

I was scheduled for a moving job on June 8, 2025 after the job was completed I was supposed to get paid. Me and my partner for the moving job have not been paid. The customer service and help emails are unresponsive so I am getting no resolution from the company. This is the 2nd time the company has not paid me.Business Response

Dear BBB,
We are requesting that this complaint be removed or reclassified, as it was not submitted by a consumer who used our moving services, but rather by an independent contractor who performed work via our platform.
This individual is not a paying customer and did not engage in a marketplace transaction for services rather, they were contracted to assist with a moving job as a service provider. This matter falls outside the scope of BBBs consumer complaint process.
As stated in BBBs own Customer Review Policy:
Only those who have had a marketplace interaction with the business may submit a customer review.
We respectfully request that BBB reclassify or remove this case, as it does not meet the criteria for a consumer complaint. We are happy to provide supporting documentation confirming the nature of this individuals role as a 1099 contractor.
Sincerely,
SierraInitial Complaint

I hired Caddy Moving to assist with my household move. During the move, multiple boxes were stolen, including personal and valuable household items. In addition, my 75-inch flat-screen television was severely damaged and (2) 55-inch flat screen televisions were also stolen.I submitted a damage claim for the broken television, and it was denied the same day, without any reasonable investigation or justification. I also reported that multiple boxes were missing from the U-Haul truck, and many of my items have still not been recovered. The extent of the loss is difficult to quantify because so many items are ********** date, Caddy Moving has not taken any accountability for the stolen or damaged property, nor have they offered any reimbursement, explanation, or follow-up. Ive attempted to contact them, but I have not received meaningful communication or resolution.Resolution Requested:A full investigation into the missing/stolen items.A reimbursement for the damaged television.A refund or compensation for the stolen/missing household goods. This experience has caused significant distress and financial loss. Im seeking a fair resolution to these serious issues.Business Response

Dear BBB and Ms. ********* / Green,
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. My name is ******* and Im the Operations Manager at Caddy Moving.
Weve carefully reviewed your damage claim along with the photos you provided. Based on the type of items and the nature of the reported wear, it appears the damage may have occurred during standard transit. As outlined in our Terms of Service which all customers review and accept prior to booking Caddy does not offer compensation for damage related to the natural risks of moving, particularly with pre-assembled, delicate, or unboxed furniture.
We truly understand how frustrating this experience has been and empathize with your concerns. While were unable to provide a refund or compensation in this case, your feedback has been documented and will be used internally to improve service quality and mover accountability.
If you have any additional questions or would like to discuss the situation further, I welcome you to reach out to me directly at ************.
Sincerely,
SierraInitial Complaint

This company sends out labor workers to conduct the move, but never pays on time or if at all. Its a consistent thing they do to hard working men and women who deserve to receive their funds on time. Its unfair and foul practice. You literally cant even call them to ask for your money , they just keep you running in circles for pocket change. Please investigate this company and their payout practice .Initial Complaint

This company is a scam!! For customers and ********************** contractors. They literally are stealing money from both, multiple times a week. I worked one job on Saturday and made sure the customer was extremely well cared for , from start to finish. Nothing got broken or scratched, everything was moved from a second story apartment into a U-Haul and then out into her new house 40 minutes away. She had originally only gotten 4 hours of time, and had to extend the time and call in 2 more caddies (other caddy contractors) , but we were able to get everything done and left her very happy with the final results. Now the company claims she ***** paid, so thats why all of the contractors from that move were not paid yet. So I gave them one more chance , because I need the money right now , and worked yesterday.. the main reason Ive chosen that as a side job is the promise of daily pay after each job you do. And I still havent been paid anything from either job. The worst part, they have not responded to any emails or phone calls, and they have repeatedly texted me back to tell me to call the 888- number on the website, or send an email. But no one EVER responds or answers either!!! Im still owed a little over 300$ and they have yet to tell me anything except that the customer hasnt paid yet, that we were all 3 having to wait on that. But I was hired by Caddy ! Not the customer. Terrible business for both parties, and I hope to get paid still but its looking like small claims court. Ridiculous for real.Initial Complaint

Complaint Against: Caddy Moving LLC CEO: **** ******** Contact: ******************************* I was contracted by Caddy Moving LLC to complete a moving job under the clear promisestated during onboardingthat I would be paid immediately upon job completion. After performing the work, I was required to submit additional documents they claimed were needed for payment. I complied with every request, only to be ignored and ultimately not paid. This is not an isolated incident. A quick look at contractor reviews across platforms like Reddit, ********, and ****** reveals a disturbing pattern. Many others have reported the same experience: performing hard labor for this company under the pretense of prompt payment, only to be ghosted after the job is done. Caddy Moving appears to routinely exploit honest workers, many of whom may not be fully aware of their labor rights. The company only responds when its time to offer more jobsnever when its time to ****** someone who has worked their way up in the moving industry from helper to operations manager, I recognize the seriousness of these actions. What Caddy Moving is doing may constitute a violation of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) provisions and could be grounds for further legal action. This isnt just about moneyits about principle. No company should be allowed to operate by systematically taking advantage of workers and then silencing them.I urge the BBB to investigate this company and take appropriate action to prevent further ********
