We hired Blue Whale Moving Co. (******************************* was our rep). We have $8000 set of ***************** Each seat has an electric recliner. They took all of the couches apart, APART.. which I was breathless when I saw them do this. They said they knew how to take each seat abpart and put them back together. NOW the electric recliners do not work. These couches were a few years old, were in MINT CONDITION, full leather from Leather Creations on 183 & RR 620. We have receipt. Blue Whale needs to pay the furniture techs to come out and fix these. We are older and we need the reclining feather to work. We have called, emailed TONS OF TIMES, and they will not help us or respond to us. **** was the last person we spoke to on the phone, he is supposed to be handling this claim for us. HE DOES NOTHING, they never call they never call us back they never respond to our emails and then the 2nd thing is they GAUGED 2 of our china hutches. They guys that day moving them that did all of this damage, took pix of the china hutches. They were supposed to send someone out to repair the gauges in the wood, THEY WILL NOT DO IT. They do nothing! They just blow us off. We need help getting them to do their job.Business response

Move was done on October 8, 2020. I submitted detailed information for a quote online and had to go over the quote with them several times for them to get all the information correct. Then after delivery they tried to charge me more for items that were on the original quote. They damaged several pieces of furniture and also damaged the gate and framing on our lift trying to cram a mattress into it. I paid $450 the previous day to have maintenance done on the lift so they would be able to use it for some items. It cost me $150 to get the gate on it repaired after damage from this move. I mailed in the damage form per instructions and they say they never received it. I emailed it to them several times and someone did call me about visiting on the damages but never heard from her again. I also tried calling the owner but he never returned any of my calls.Business response

We hired Blue Whale to move us on 03/30/2021. During the move, one of the movers broke our nursery chair. When we discovered it had been broken, my wife emailed the owner, ******************************* to let him know and to make a claim. The claim was submitted on 04/15/2021. On 04/26/2021 Hunter replied "Thank you for sending this in and please accept my apology for the delay in response. I have forwarded your claim file to my claims team the only other thing I need is to know, do I have your permission to give your contact information to vendors, should they indicate that repair is viable based on your picture?". My wife said "yes, I give you permission to share my contact information if a repair is possible". We were never contacted. On 6/07/2021, my wife followed up with Hunter - no response. She followed up again on 06/15/2021 - no response. I then followed up on 08/04/2021 - no response. It has been 161 days since the claim form was submitted. They are liable for the damage!Business response

I have spoken with *****************, she is going to speak with her husband and call me back tomorrow or Friday once they have discussed a number. I expect her claim will be resolved before the end of the week.

At the end of Nov. 2020 we hired Blue Whale to move our things from Austin,TX to their warehouse and then to NC. The packers did not bring enough materials to finish the job and had to use ours. They tried to charge me more than the quoted amount once it was in storage. They also charged me for extra packing materials. When they unloaded in NC there was extensive damage. They did not wrap items, they placed heavy items with delicate items. My wedding dress was torn in 3 places. Our new leather sofa was damaged beyond repair. A layer of leather was pulled off bc they put tape on it. Complete Negligence by the movers. I filed a claim on 4-8-21, tried to work with them and they strung me along. They had 90 days to respond (7-7-21). They did not respond. 7-27-21 I got an email saying they would only send $750. Damage = $11k They should be replacing our sofa ($7303.55) No check has been received and it is not for the correct amount. This company is engaged in fraudulent business practices.
