They hire the cheapest contractors that dont know what theyre doing. They also dont monitor or regulate them because whoever did the tile in our bathroom put the tile directly on the wood, and any reputable tiler knows to never lay tile directly on wood. So our shower started leaking, and ended up being $1,500 to fix. This is also something they know theyll get away with because theres no way to tell this has happened(unless the inspector literally demod the bathroom), until it starts leaking/cracking/breaking. And of course the 1 year warranty has already ended. I reached out to them and they never even responded. The tile and bathroom contractor we used to fix it says Milestone tried to get him to tile all the bathrooms in their houses, and he turned it down because it was laughable and also a slap in the face with how low they were offering. So that right there tells you whoever they did end up hiring to do their houses either doesnt have the experienced needed or because theyre getting paid peanuts they dont care about the crappy job theyre doing. Very sad and frustrating.Review from Kyle C

0 Star. Poor quality builds and even the Seller after the fact knows about the "Get Bent" Warranty. Do not buy from these builders or get your own warranty because they will not cover anything at all. Seriously nothing is covered. they will pass you to the manufacturer and the manufacturer will pass you back to them. ***** bought Aug 2023 and already having issues that they are considering "Cosmetic". Structural Damage is considered cosmetic. Since you can see it they consider it cosmetic.Review from Tim B

In 25 years of building houses in the ****** area this was the worst by a long shot. This was also the first time I ever felt compelled to hire a 3rd party inspector before the warranty period ended. I've owned my home now for 3 years. The warranty ticket is still open. Someone works on it a while and then quits and months later a new person contacts me. They have no idea what the last person accomplished so I have to go over things once again. Then I never hear from them again. I flew from ********* to ****** as the director of their customer service department made a meeting with me to go through the house. He never showed for the meeting nor did anyone from Milestone. I texted him and told him it was unacceptable and he agreed but never completed the warranty work. I love the location and the neighbors I've met through the purchase of this house but I regret ever doing business with Milestone. I would never consider purchasing from them again. Word of advice: Do not close and give them your money until everything is checked off the list. Their warranty department is the worst.Review from Mike K

Terrible management by an organization that has done very little to support the community they paid to support. The amenity center, pool, and trails are terrible. In fact the trails they boasted are absolutely non-existent. The pool is disgusting and the gym is in disrepair. Most people in our community have no idea where their money is going. The only thing that is well managed is the entrance to the community and that is purely for aesthetic and deceit. I would discuss the build process and getting the punch lists taken care of in a timely manner but it appears that many others have already addressed this. Good luck trying to get a hold of someone to address anything either. Worst build experience Ive ever had. Unfortunately, I cant leave 0/5 stars.Review from Megan P

So disappointed. We were one of the first homes in the Larkspur neighborhood and EVERY SINGLE THING milestone promised us from this community was a total boldfaced lie. They promised that there would be NICE walking trails. They promised that there would only be 7 phases of construction and the neighborhood wouldnt been too crowded. (I think they are on phase 12 or 14 now) they promised a school that was just built and already needs portables because they built a school for the number of houses they promised not the number of houses they actually built. They promised they would only have small locally owned businesses in the area right next to 183 and that they would maintain a huge barrier and green space between any commercial use and the neighborhood they are now building a HUGE apartment complex in that area that will make the extremely poorly planned entry to the neighborhood even more congested. They promised us a green belt right next to our home and instead they parked a bunch of equipment there, killed all the vegetation, and used it as a dumping ground, come to find out they NEVER planned to plant any of the trees or bushes like I was promised. They NEVER had irrigation installed in this area and as a matter of fact actually they PLANNED on using this space to widen the super quiet country road next to our house instead. They have misused HOA funds to exclusively benefit the sale of more houses. They havent used funds for ANYTHING that any of the actual people Ive talked to have wanted or cared about even though they claim they have done surveys to see if the neighborhood is interested. I havent talked to a single person that thinks a second pool is a good idea for example. The first one is treated like trash and maintained even worse. Its only open for 4 months if the year and its a total waste.Sadly the only thing I have really gained from my time with Milestone is being sure I will never work with them again in my future.Review from Sherri S

We have been very disappointed in the condition that Milestone has left our neighborhood. For the past 3 years that weve owner our home we have looked at piles of left over builder debris behind our home on the green space. Our drive home everyday include passing by 2 lots which once housed the construction trailers. These lots were abandoned by Milestone and old paint buckets, broken screens and windows, drive way barricades, temporary fencing & metal barrels are left. ********** County Appraisal District continues to raise our property taxes and value of our homes. I strongly feel I would have a hard time getting the amount ********** County Appraisal District says I can get for my home with the neighborhood dimensioning like it is. In 2020 we were very much lied to by a milestone of what amenities were available and coming to the neighborhood. Signs posted like award winning amenity center. The amenity center is anything but award winning. The gym is a joke. Other neighborhoods with less HOA fees have a much better gym than Larkspur has to offer. Trails, what trails? That was another lie. The neighbors themselves are building trails. I could go on and on but this site limits how many characters I can use. If you are looking for a good honest builder, its not Milestone.Review from Mike W

The worst builder and worst customer service and warranty service. from 1st day my house has problems. AC keeps running till it hits 60 and we all got sick, irrigation system leaking water, 2 nd floor squeaking floor, all walls paint and finishing has pencil marks and staines. Been trying to get a solution for the squeaking floor and tech came didn’t even have proper tools or supplies had to give him my screws, and made it worse after ripped off carpet and made squeaking worse, contacting customer service manager and she will always argue and rude and saying she is in a meeting. Customer service rep only worries about her feelings and has 0 customer service skills rude and racist, thinking to file a lawsuit against this companyReview from Gretchen G

I bought a Milestone home in 2019 in *********************** community and a cardboard box may have been sufficient. The range vent in my home was installed without a damper, we now have water damaged cabinets, a water damaged microwave and $1,000 repair fee. This is unjust and completely unprofessional, I have spoken with several different reps including the supervisor for the Milestone contractors to only get the run around for 2 months; no one even stepped on my roof to assess the issue. Run don't walk away from Milestone, I will never purchase a Milestone home again and I will warn everyone I know.Review from Mary

Milestone has been a huge disappointment to us and did not do much to help remedy what they had mistakenly done to our house. We went to the ************* in October 2020, after securing the lot that our house was to be built on. ************************* was the woman that helped us at the ************* and shes also the one that made a huge mistake that is now costing us our entire kitchen and bathroom cabinets. I have attached photos of us clearly picking out WHITE CABINETS and this photo was attached to all of our construction orders and emails. Instead of writing the code for white cabinets on our contract, ************************* wrote down the color code for **** CABINETS.************************* had the audacity to print out our selected custom options and went down the list with us verbally explaining that its white, when she noted it with the **** code. This is our first home, so quite frankly, we didnt know that cabinets have to be ordered in the color selected. When we checked on the house and saw the **** cabinets, we thought it was primer paint and that they were planning to paint it white or something. We quickly realized a few weeks later that they were not what we selected. The issue was brought to our salesman, ************************* (who admired fault in the email attached), and the *** They only offered us $1,500 to help remedy the situation and we had either 2 options 1) accept the home with the selected options and $1,500 OR 2) forfeit the contract, get our deposit back and they will sell the house as is. The estimated cost we received from a 3rd party contractor was about $6,000 to get the kitchen and bathroom cabinets professionally spray painted white. Even with our work bid, Milestone refused to compensate us for their mistake. We werent going to lose the house, so we decided to close the house with the selected options and the $1,500. Now we know and we will never be purchasing a Milestone home ever again. ************************* deserves consequences for completely ruining our first-time home buying/building experience and leaving us with a home we do not love.0 star if I could. That 1 star is because **** (sales) and ***************** manager) have been nice enough to sympathize and help us.
