On March 15th I looked for a shipper to take my car from ** to ** for April 3rd. Speedo Carship quoted $775 - I had specific questions - how much extra for 298lbs of cargo in the trunk, is it insured and are there any extra hidden fees? He text no charge for the cargo, it is insured and his final statement read: 'The total cost to ship your vehicle will be $775 which is all-inclusive with no hidden charges.' He sent an agreement and I paid $200 deposit. ***************** said he would call to confirm pickup on 3/27. On that day he let me know he was a broker and because of inflation it was now $1,300. I asked about our written agreement and he sent me the small print on the bottom of his contract that stated: 'while every effort will be made to confirm a driver for the estimated date and price.' As it was too late to get another quote I had to agree and the car was picked up and shipped the next day. When I asked him to refund the money he said no. A classic bait and switch to have me sign a contract that means nothing - they just make you wait until the last minute where you have no option but to take his new quote, which was much higher than any other I received. This company has no integrity at all. The shipper he contracted to do the job was perfect and the car was delivered clean and on time. I want his broker fee refunded as it was taken under false pretenses.

Been on the phone countless times with them and they state that they dont have my deposit anymore and wont send any money back because they will still ship it but not in the agreed upon timeframe.

(1.) This business informed me that an advance payment or deposit, which I had made for their shipping service, would be refunded to me if I did not agree with a possible increase in the price that we initially agreed upon for this service.(2.) The business then went ahead to provide me with a new, increased price for this service. However, the business did not tell me that this new price did not include the advance payment or deposit that I had already paid them.(3.) I initially accepted this new price, but only because I thought that this new price was the total price, which included the advance payment or deposit that I had already paid (in other words, I did not know that the new price did not include the advance payment or deposit that I had already paid). I would not have accepted this new price if this business had informed me that the new price did not include the advance payment or deposit that I had already paid.(4.) After I learned that this new price did not include the advance payment or deposit that I had already paid them, I requested for the refund, but the business has ignored (i.e., has refused to reply to) my written request to them for this refund. This business engages in the unethical, scam-like business practice of offering a low price for their car shipping service, in order to lure prospective customers away from their competition (with these lower prices), all the while knowing that they have no plans to ship at their offered lower shipping rates. Whilst I have been informed that this industry is unregulated, some authority needs to weigh in to stop companies in the industry from deceiving customers as well as obtaining an unfair advantage over their competitors this way. It is one matter for a business to inadvertently offer a certain price and then later discover that a price increase is required and another matter for a business to deliberately offer a low price, in order to lure prospective customers away from their competition.

The company initially quoted me $595 to transport my vehicle from ***** to ******* on January 18th, 2024. To secure a spot, I deposited $100 via Zelle on January 16th,2024. On the scheduled shipment day (January 18th, 2024),I was informed that no driver was available, and the pickup would be postponed to the following day. Upon inquiry the next day, I was informed that due to adverse weather conditions, the driver demanded over $1300, an amount I couldn't afford. Consequently, I opted to cancel the order.***** assured me that the billing department would process a refund within ***** hours. However, a week later, I had neither received the refund nor any communication from the company. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to contact them (around 7 calls), I finally reached someone who informed me that they couldn't refund the deposit based on the contractual conditions, citing:The company is not liable for delays in pickup or delivery due to various unforeseen circumstances, including carrier schedules, mechanical failure, inclement weather, and acts of God.A cancellation fee of $200 is applicable for orders canceled seven days before the requested available pickup date. These conditions are inapplicable to my situation as:***** assured me at the time of booking that there would be no additional cost beyond $595, and the contract does not explicitly state that the deposit becomes non-refundable if the price changes. The cancellation occurred one day after the assigned pickup date and time, not seven days prior.

On 01/05/2024 I contracted with Speedo Carship LLC to move a 5th wheel from ******* to Washington. The agreed upon price as stated in the order was $1,395, $250 of which I paid as a deposit. The company said I would have a carrier in the ***** hour pickup window. At the 24 hour ***** I contacted the company and there was no carrier yet. They called me back 1 hour later and informed me that the found a carrier, but the price would now be $3,900. When I informed them that was not the agreed upon price, they continue to fight and say they never guaranteed the price. Their contract states "While every effort will be made to confirm a driver for the estimated date and price, no guarantee of pickup or delivery date can be made." This contract does not say they have the ability to change the price for the shipment, but by their representatives interpretation, he claims that it does. and then said they would transfer me to Billing and hung up. When I called back, they said Billing would call me and then I asked to speak with management. When I asked to speak with management, the representative said, Not even the *** of the company can change the price. He then informed me that they would not refund me the money and tried to get me to still ship with his company.

I entered into a contract with this company to ship my car from ******* to **************, *****. The day prior to the scheduled pick up they stopped accepting my calls. I was able to speak with ***** via email only and he repeatly stated that the service of picking up my car was scheduled but was unable to provide a name, number or time the driver would pick up my car. The driver NEVER showed up and I was forced to pay an exorbitant amount the have another company ship my vehicle at the last minute. I would like to be reimbursed for the $100 downpayment and the cost of shipping my vehicle. I have reached out to them daily and now they are not answering the phone.

I was scammed out of $755 by *************************************** LLC (drivers) when picking up my vehicle on 27 Nov and delivery on 30 Nov. Original price was suppose to be $545 with $150 reservation fee to be deducted from $545 making payment upon delivery of vehicle to be $395. On 25 Nov, drivers asked if $250 could be advanced for *********** taxes to be taken off balance of $395 leaving remaining balance upon delivery to to $145! This did not happen-$250 was not taken off and an additional $155 was charged by drivers/dispatcher for (1) change in pickup location ($50) as drivers came one day earlier than was booked so we had to load up ALL our household items in our vehicle in order to clear our housing (not our fault-$100) as *************** LLC said it was over 100 lbs but ********************* our contract with Speedo! The $50 was charged because enroute to bringing our car to pickup point, my husband became sick and we had to pull off busy interstate to request if *************** could pick up vehicle from where we exited freeway due to medical emergency. They first said No as they left without our vehicle to pick up another vehicle in area. Had to contact Speedo who insisted drivers were demanding $50 for fuel and inconvenience! My *********** are both disabled and had no other option but to pay these outrageous charges just to catch our flight the next morning! ******************** were very insistent on getting their money irregardless of the mistakes made on THEIR part with pickup (1 day early) and delivery dates (1 day late) and amount owed upon delivery! I plan to seek legal action if money owed to me is not restored. My husband and I live on a fixed income and this was a very unexpected financial setback!

I was contacted by Speedo Carship with their bid to transport my car from *************, ** to my home in **********, **. The agreed upon price was $895. Then I have an electric bike that needed shipped back to the charge was for $595. Both of which I had to pay a deposit of $150 for each. The scheduled day for pick up was Oct 31, 2023, I asked them for an extension to Nov 30, 2023. They were okay with this. They told me that they found a driver for more than the agreed price and now are trying to get more money. They want to charge a $200 cancellation fee. I just want thw refund back that was made in good faith that they would be able to ship the vehicles for the agreed price. They couldn't hold up their end. I would like a refund. I have the text messages and they said they have my name and my ip address which sounds threatening to me.
