The A/C in this unit I have occupied since **** broke early Saturday night/morning at this 600+ unit complex named Hudson and I dutifully called in and filed a work order at 9:30'ish AM Saturday but upon calling back at around 3pm I was informed that none of the weekend maintenance staff works on AC so Monday will be the first opportunity to have it looked at. Imagine a national car rental company, or some such national corporation like this ***** telling you this without contingency, concern or redress! I know, I know, by ***** law I have the right to break my lease, pay the fine and move. And asking that their forgiveness in reading this is easier than upholding their obligations not codified in law. But somehow this caustic attitude seems emblematic of the blatant callousness we see rising on TV.Initial Complaint

My daughter rents an apartment from the Hudson apartments in **************, **, she has NO heat and it is cold. She has put in several work orders, and they do respond. However, the maintenance employees are not doing repairs to code. They are performing HVAC repairs and have no idea what they are doing. They replaced her AC/Heat central unit and didn't even know how to connect the ducting to the household ducting. They did not install the heating kit in the new central unit when they installed it. So, she doesn't have heat and now it is winter. My daughter put in a maintenance request on November 15th, 2022 and today is November 23rd and they still haven't figured out how to fix it. I try to call the front desk about the failures of their maintenance guys and they NEVER answer. I have left messages and voicemails. They do not call back. I live 5 hours away and my daughter has to heat her $1200 a month apartment with space heaters. I want them to knock off a month's rent for my daughter. She is a full time college student and doesn't have time to be hounding a large corporation to fix her central unit.Business response

I apologize for the delay in getting the heater system repaired. Unfortunately, the heat kit we needed was on back order and we were unable to obtain it as quickly as we had hoped. We understand that this may have caused you some inconvenience and we apologize for any discomfort you may have experienced as a result.

I am rejecting this response because: There has not been any response to Rent credit for my daughter suffering through the cold and having to buy space heaters. She is a full time student at ***** ******* and she pays for her way. It was hard on her finances to pay the higher electric bills and purchase the extra heaters. All I am asking is for 1 month of rent credit.

We have been living here for about six years and we have to have them come out to try and fix our air conditioning at least once a month, sometimes more than a couple times a month. Every time we call them they come and do the same thing to get it working but it goes out shortly after that. It gets incredibly hot in our apartment to the point where we have to leave and spend money on hotels just to have a place to stay in the air conditioning. We have two young children who live here as well and that doesnt seem to concern them because they have yet to have any type of urgency to fix the problem. We already requested them to replace the inside air conditioning unit, all they said was that theyre working on it. We keep calling to get an answer on when theyll be out here to replace it, we were told a couple of weeks back they that it would be the next week. It is now two weeks past the time they told us and theyre still giving us the run around on when theyll come to fix it. Id like to get this done ASAP. I just moved from ********* so I was shopping online for an apartment and I accidentally filled out an application for an apartment in ************** ***** instead of *********, *****. And as soon as I realized this I told the person that called me that I was trying to get an apartment in ********* so she told me that she was going to cancel my application and refund me my money back. This incident happened Friday October 22, ***************************************************************************************** that she wasn't going to refund my money. I even got in touch with my bank and they instructed me to get in touch with you guys to get my money backBusiness response
