I am filing this complaint on behalf of my 88 year old father *** ********** who lives in Hereford, Tx. He has been a Globe news subscriber for many years. In the last year since they changed from personal delivery to mail delivery he may get 2-3 papers a week. Sometimes he won't get one for over a week at a time. I have tried calling many times and can't get a hold of a person here in Amarillo. I always get directed to the call center somewhere else. They can't really do anything but credit his account. Which is fine, but all he wants is a daily newspaper!. He checks with his postal service and that is not the problem. He is really tired of dealing with this issue and wants it resolved!Business response

Amarillo Globe News delivers all printed papers to Postal Office. Once they are dropped off at the Postal Office when can not check. The papers are Laser Printed in Lubbock and shipped to Amarillo For delivery. Amarillo does not have extra papers to give out. We handle nothing with printing the paper or the labels on the mail papers. The best that can be done is credit for the missed papers.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:You did not answer why my Dad in Hereford is not receiving his paper. Are the staff in Amarillo mailing them to Hereford or not?? My Dad has spoken with the Postal server in Hereford and they don’t always get all the papers.Business response

The papers are printed in Lubbock with mail labels on them. The hauler drops the mail at the Hereford Postal Office every day. There for he should receive his paper every day. Sunday paper comes on Friday to be delivered by the post office on Saturday Mornings. It is dropped of at the postal office at 9pm every day except Saturday Night.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: My Dad is still not getting regular papers. Every week he misses 2-3 papers. Maybe you should talk to your people in Lubbock and make sure they are getting all the papers to Hereford.

Have not received a paper for 5 days. Have tried to contact customer service but no one answers or calls back. Absolutely no customer service. Feeling helpless at this point in getting this resolved.Business response

This Customer is a mail Customer. We do not deliver to this area. All of Amarillo Will Convert to Mail Delivery only on July 10th, 2023. We do not have a local call center it is over seas. I am sorry the customer is not receiving the paper via mail. She should contact the postal office to see where it is .I know all mail customer are on a next day mail service so Papers will fall a day behind when being delivered.Initial Complaint

I dropped the Sunday delivery of the Amarillo Globe Newspaper on 1-13-2023. I had just renewed in Dec of 2022 . Then I never got my papers for 2 weeks, so, I called in and cancelled the service.I wrote a check #**** on 12-8-22 for 378.20. I called them to remind them I had cancelled and where was my money they said takes a few weeks has been almost a month and I have not received money back Can you do something to help me get my money back ? June 8, 2022 On this date I received a phone call stating that I owe money to the Amarillo Globe-News. Sometime ago I took advantage of a promotion that said I could get two years of internet newspaper for 99 cents. Then they charged my credit card for thirteen dollars and some cents. I immediately called customer service and canceled all subscriptions. Now they are trying to charge me again. I did not order a subscription. I do not receive the newspaper. I don't owe them. I called customer service again and got no answer.Initial Complaint

Resident(s) (3) at ******* Park Assisted Living at **** Research have not been receiving their paid subscriptions of the newspaper since Feb. 16. All calls to customer service and messages on Facebook and voice mail have not been answered. One call was answered by a person, and she indicated the district manager would call Mrs. ****** and as of Feb. 21, they have not. Other facilities like this one nearby are not receiving their papers either.Business response

I have been receiving the Amarillo Globe Newspaper since end of September/beginning of October time frame. I have contacted this company's contact number and have had staff pretend to not hear me; staff who assured me they would stop delivering paper; I have emailed this company on stopping delivery of paper and sent a Facebook message on stopping delivery of paper. On 1/5/22 I again contacted Amarillo Globe news to request this company quit delivering newspaper at my address. I was informed the paper was complimentary and usually lasted 3 months. I had requested to speak with manager since my previous contacts were ignored. I was informed that the complimentary paper was over the 3 month time frame and to give them a couple of days to stop the delivery. I pointed out the complimentary paper should not be for 3 months as people travel and may not be home and the newspapers are left in the yard which can be a signal to potential thieves. Also, you can't place a hold on the paper not be delivered because you are not a subscriber. I myself travelled and depended on family to pick up daily newspapers which were in my yard. As of today I am still receiving the Amarillo Globe News at my home address. I have tried every possible way to communicate with this company. I do not wish to receive their newspaper; this is bordering on harassment.Business response
