Legacy Supportworks did leveling for me on 2 separate occasions. The first time we called them was for the West side of the house and they convinced us to do the East side as well which caused some of the cracks, then they convinced us that our basement was sinking and it wasn't but they raised it up an inch and now we have cracks all over. Last March, one of the owners was here and verbally promised to help repair the damage to the shower after the shower pan came loose after leveling (Nick even said that it was under warranty) and to repair the many cracks in our walls, ceilings and flooring. We had to wait for at least 9 months for the settling to stop. Once he got the estimates he stopped answering my calls/emails and texts.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/03/01) */ Legacy Supportworks performed all services according to the customer's contract. An employee (not owner) of Legacy promised the customer that cosmetic damages would be repaired. However, the contract states that cosmetic damages are the sole responsibility of the homeowner. Lastly, on Monday, February 28th- out of good faith for what was promised to the customer by an employee- Legacy communicated with the customer and paid the requested repair amount to the customer. Consumer Response /* (2000, 9, 2022/03/01) */ They have called me and stated that they would pay for the repairs.Initial Complaint

6/21/21 Legacy gave me an estimate to level an older home ,on concrete foundation.my floors were weak and sqeaky. The young man did the survey, inside and out my house.Gave me an estimate in placing 40' center beam and additional piers(not a definite #).with the information given me I signed the contract and gave him 2000$deposit.That was Wednesday and on Sunday my grandson put his foot thru the floor. My son pulled up carpet and cut into floor to repair it.That is when we saw the damage of the floor joist and sill boards by termites. The damage was oblivious and readily seen ,the floor joist had dropped by 2" because the sill board along with the floor joist were eaten thru by the termites, their tunnels obivious.this being the reason for the weak floors should have been obvious to a foundation expert. This information was not given to me .I contacted the surveyor and told him what we had found ,he agreed to cancel contract but refused to return deposit.I signed the contract in good faithBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2021/08/19) */ Ms. ****, According to the quote from your Specialist, the beam & floor joists that would be installed on your home would have remedied the termite damage to the existing beams. It is our understanding that you changed your mind about the price and did not want us to repair your home for the price quoted. Our contracts are signed in good faith that if we cannot work on your home, we will refund your deposit. Contractually, your deposit was non-refundable not only because you asked to cancel after the refundable period but because our solution is still a viable option to repairing your home. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2021/08/19) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I attempted 5 phone calls and 1 text to discuss this,so I guess we will have the conversation here.Your statement that I changed my mind about price is blantantly not true.I have been respectful to your employees that I have spoken too.when the young man gave me the estimate,I told him I was surprised because I expected it to be higher.I am having to repair the whole north side of my home from termite damage ,the estimator did not inform me about.I would not have entered into an agreement to level the house knowing all the repairs that I would be looking at.My grandson actually put his foot thru the floor, that's how I found all the damage, that happened after(a week)the agreement was signed I .When the floor joist and sill board are so unstable that you can put a screwdriver thru them or they are dust ,putting a beam down the center of the house is not going firm up the floors and keep the house from settling down to the concrete blocks. My point being I cant afford to repair this termite damage and the cost to level the house,if I had been given the correct information I would not entered into the agreement.I did send pictures to N of the damage on the cell phone number that he gave me.I cannot afford to give 2000$ away,I live on a fixed income. Business Response /* (4000, 23, 2021/08/31) */ Hi ******, I have attached the information that I have. 1. The contract- signed on 6-21-21. On page 3, #2 of Additional Notes it states the 3-day option period. 2. I have attached a picture of a call log. She called to cancel on 7-1-21. 3. I have also attached 2 photos from the inspection of her home that were shown to her and discussed with her on 6-21-21. They both show previous water damage and termite damage. So she was aware of the termite damage before signing the contract and we stand by the fact that our solution- adding more (and/or replacing) the beams would remedy her issue. 4. According to the Federal Trade Commission,The Cooling-Off Rule gives you three days to cancel certain sales made at your home, workplace, or dormitory, or at a seller's temporary location, like a hotel or motel room, convention center, fairground, or restaurant. Some types of sales can't be canceled, even if they occur in places that the Cooling-Off Rule normally covers. The Rule doesn't cover sales that are: made because you asked the seller to visit your home to repair or perform maintenance on your personal property. (Things you buy beyond that repair or maintenance request are covered.) 5. The above referenced guidelines are clearly met in our contract. State and Federal laws and guidelines have been followed, in addition to, giving her a 3 business day refundable period. She far surpassed that timeframe. Thank you so much for helping in this matter. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions! Respectfully, Tessa *******- President Consumer Response /* (4200, 26, 2021/08/31) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) 8/31/21 Again I was not told about termite damage under my house. On 8/19/21the company spokesman wrote the contract covered a beam and replacing joists which is not true, the contract was for a beam and piers, again untruths.I wasnt aware of written cancellation of contract,I wasnt shown the respect of a return phone call by any of company representive.I was shown pictures of water damage, not termite damage and I was told it wasnt unusual to see this because it was under bathroom.again this was a foundation expert giving information to make an informed decision. The facts are, there was no disclosure of termite damage and a nonprofessional looking at the the pictures would only see water damage,no pictures of termite damage was shown. My issues are there was not full discourse of the problems under the house ,also the representatives of the company not responding to my multiple attempts to speak with them.I was told by the person that did the estimate, that return of deposit"ain't gonna happen".Our world is going down the drain and this is example of why.
