On Dec. 28, I attempted to check in to Days Inn South, in Pigeon Forge, TN. I had created this reservation on Booking dot com. I use this site regularly when traveling and have never had a bad experience, until now. I booked a non-smoking room. We checked in at approximately 5:28 pm. As soon as we opened the door to the room, it stunk of cigarette smoke. Upon entering the room, we observed that :
1. Indeed the room smelled like smoke.
2. There were cigarette burns on the blankets of one of the beds.
3. There were questionable stains on the sheets of the other bed.
4. The chair in the room was splattered with paint.
5. There was no telephone.
This was worse than a hotel room that you pay by the hour! It was deplorable! We turned around and walked out, checking back out in less than 5 min. Officially, Booking shows we checked out at 5:29 pm. Upon checkout, the employee at the front desk was rude and dismissive. When I asked for proof of a refund, I was simply told I needed to email the manager.
I called Booking Customer Service before ever leaving the parking lot. Booking assured me they would start an investigation fory refund. Both Booking and I have made countless complaints and inquiries via phone, through the Booking site itself, and email, to no avail. Any calls go directly to voicemail. They will not return a call to myself or Booking.com. nor will they reply to an email. I keep getting message via the booking I made, asking about my experience. I lay it out so there is absolutely no confusion about my experience, asking for a full refund. To no avail. I would like my $129.01 refunded immediately.Initial Complaint

I booked a room at the days inn in south pigeon forge for April 19th and set to leave on April 21st. Room 319 where unclean, floors were sticky, there was no light bulbs, no toilet paper, burns in the bed. I went to the lobby to request a new room. Room 320 was remodeled but the bed had little black dots on the bed. We assumed to be bed bugs. The bed also had burns in it as well. We requested for a refund they told me that it would be returned to me in 7- 10 business days. I have spent months trying to get in touch with someone at the location. No answers the phone. And when I call corporate number they keep giving me the run around. The total that was never returned to me was 362.57. We never stayed the first night there. We requested a refund and booked a new room at a different hotel. I tried to call both the hotel it’s self and the corporate office. I filed a claim with venmo. It was the card I used to purchase the room, and it was declined. We never stayed so I want my money backInitial Complaint

We arrived at Days Inn on August 30th with full intentions of staying. We were given the keys and proceeded to the room which had balls of hair all over the floor and dirt when we got in there. There was blood all over the bed sheets and was just disgusting. We exited and went back to the front to get refund. The front desk said that it would be refunded and sent me a folio to my email showing zero dollars charged. There were two other guests in there complaining over the nastiness of their rooms as well, one had feces all over the commode and filthy floors. I have been in touch ten times trying to get this resolved to Days Inn. I have contacted Booking.com to try and get help with it. They say they can't refund until Days Inn approves it by email. They have reached out to them several times to try and get them to send it, to no avail. They did try and give me a future stay and some points on wyndham but I don't want that, I want my $546.10 refunded, I didn't stay and I would never stay in such disgusting atmosphere ever!! My booking confirmation # was ************* *** ***** ***** I was told if we got in contact with the hotel, for them to send an email agreeing to the refund to: ************************. On October 18th I went to Pigeon Forge and stayed at Days Inn by Wyndham south Pigeon Forge, we used booking.com. Upon arrival the very rude and unfriendly manager told me that booking.com had cancelled my room due to not being able to charge my card which I then replied I haven’t received information on that she said well they did. Just as she said that I got an email. So she had cancelled the booking. I then rebooked it and directly paid for it as soon as I booked it. All through booking.com. I want to add I ended up paying $23 more because of the time increase. She told us we would have to wait 15 to 20 minutes more for our room so she could process it. We waited outside and went in and she magically found the booking. Upon entering the room it was filthy. There was no blankets on the bed only sheets. No towels in the room, or wash cloths. The fire alarm was hanging from the wall disconnected and the battery sitting on the tv stand. The shower was very weak and anytime you stepped on it, it felt like you were going to fall through it on top of being filthy. We addressed all these concerns and was told 1. They had towels to give us but no wash cloths or blankets so we had to go buy our own. 2. The fire alarm did work ( which even with battery installed it did not) 3. That really wasn’t their problem. I contacted booking who told me that they would reach out to the property and get back to me. That was on October 20th now booking tells me there is nothing they can do because the property won’t respond. This is unacceptable by both days inn and booking.com. Stayed at this place over the weekend and card was charged an additional 75.00 that we weren't made aware of the. When asking the girl at the front desk said it would be refunded immediately upon checkout. This was not the case it has not been refunded. The clerk was very rude stayed on her phone wouldn't help us wouldn't give us a refund to cancel reservation once we saw roaches and bedbugs and the door lock was broken. We couldn't even sleep in the place bc it was horrific and the mold and I have asthma. I have tried to call the hotel numerous times due to front door locked saying to call number but the number says it's restricted and the number listed online noone will answer and it hangs up on you. I just want my money back for a stay I couldn't even physically stay at.Initial Complaint

I had booked a room for October 9, 2024 thru October 12, 2024. My wife and I arrived around 4 pm and checked in. We got our key and went to the room. The sheets had stains on them. They didn't appear to have been washed. The floor was dirty and there were bugs crawling all around the room. We went to the desk and told them we did not want to stay there and wanted a refund. The girl at the desk said since I had booked through Expedia.com I would have to get my money back from them. A few days later when the charges were posted on my credit card it was charged by the motel. I have tried to contact them and no one answered the phone until today. As soon as I told the girl what I was calling about she said, "Give me a second" and never came back on the phone. Expedia has tried to call them and cannot reach them either.Initial Complaint

They committed to a clean environment and hotel stay.
My dispute is that they will not give me my refund nor anwser any emails/calls/or messages from me and the third party (booking). We checked in to the hotel on Oct. 4th and we went into our hotel room there was bugs crawling all over the walls, curtians ect. There was things splattered all over the walls, huge pee stains on the bed sheet, all bedding was also blood stains and black markings from bed bugs, my child opened the drawers, my husband did as well and there was illegal drugs( residue) left in there in reach of my children ages 3,10,13. The carpets was very sticky and dirty, the curtains has bugs crawling all over it as well and stains. The room had looked to not be cleaned in a long time as well as the place the elevatorwas very nasty. I went to give then the key back and contacted booking we have been trying to get a response put of them since oct 4th/5th and they will not respond on a refund. I stayed at this hotel on 10/11 till 10/13. Upon arrival I paid the desk then got my key to my room when I walked in with my kids one being 2 years old I walked into filth, garbage on the floor along with dirty clouthes , dryer did not work bath tub was fifty no towels no wash rags no shampoo, soap,toilet paper toilet was not cleaned head board to one bed was laid against the wall so at that Pont I went to the receptionist and explained it to her along with several other guest having the same complaint of the filth. She offered a refund yes but I had just droved 6 hrs with a two year old and after paying could not afford another place because they was alot higher and being a single mom I don't just carry that kind of money on me, especially when she said it would take 7 to 10 days to get my refund so she offered me another room which I went to and it was q0 times worse then my floors looked like they was water soaked air conditioner was torn from the wall and laying in the floor beds was filthy. Then when walking back to the desk I also noticed no hot tub that was advertised in the posting it was filled in with concrete. At that point I'm in tears and so upset so I made the best out of it sense no house keeping was there I was directed to the area where they kept the brooms and cleaning supplies grabbed gloves ,towels rags vacume cleaner sanitizer toilet paper and sheets and pillow cases and I cleaned the room myself not how I wanted to spend my mini vacation with my boys after I had saved up for it and it was supposed to be enjoyable other guest said there was blood stains on sheets and pillow cases pee stains floors was aweful and also didn't have toilet paper, towels, soap or rags I just didn't have the privilege of going back home not when I had promised my boys and paid also for for tickets the next day to the aquarium already I have contacted wyndham in which the told me sense I was offered a refund and decided just to stay and clean it myselfInitial Complaint

I used to have faith in the Wyndham name, but now, not so much. This was a harrowing stay. When arriving, I untucked the bed to put the blanket on top and out fell two medical syringes from the sheets! (Could the linens even have been changed since previous occupants?) For this alone I should have alerted the health department! I reported and gave syringes to front desk lady and she said she'd report it to management. I have heard nothing. Other issues: I walked barefooted from bathroom to bed and my feet were filthy black. (See attached photos.) We were hounded by small sewer flies and large houseflies. Only one towel provided for 3 people. No phone in room. Coffee packs provided in room, but no coffee pot. Bathtub was nasty. No breakfast item as described on website, lobby locked up tight in AMs. Outside trash cans were full and fly-infested. No ice or vending machines. Bed railing on one bed was broken and sticking out. It was a miserable stay and I feel we should receive a refund.Initial Complaint

July 19, 2024 we checked into Days Inn South in Pigeon Forge. We arrived later in the evening so when we got to our room we immediately laid down. The next morning we woke up and looked around and the room was uninhabitable. Wires hanging out from the outlets, blood stains on the sheets, bathtub was covered in mold and the tub liner was ripped, holes in the walls and doors. Carpet strips exposed. All of this causing a danger to my family of 5. We addressed these issues with the front desk and the response was ‘thanks’. Not to mention the bed bugs we encountered. The tv and internet didn’t work or the AC.
We paid the property $277.82 for a 2 night stay as well as a $75 damage deposit.
I’ve attempted to contact the property approximately 50 times since check out and have not spoke to anyone via phone or email. I’m seeking a refund on what was paid to the property as well as the bed bug removal we’ve had to do since we returned from this disgusting place
