Whoa. I’m torn between helping my nephew get his participation prize through this outrageously overpriced company - because let’s be real, this is not a fundraiser, it is a profit generating business, read their responses below and you will see - and just not. I could hop on another site and buy enough of the exact same participation prizes for the whole class, plus a gift card or two or three from stores where the teacher can then get ALL their monies worth in supplies. My mind is blown that this is a legitimate, functioning tool used in the school system. I’ll break it down for you; YOU thoughtfully donate $50 to the teacher via a RFE gift card and they “VERY GENEROUSLY” give the FULL amount to the teacher who can then redeem it for supplies through the RFE redemption page and pay an ABHORRENT amount of money for one or two items when they could have just gone to that place that sells things for a dollar or even that big blue World and really made that $50 stretch. I cannot in good conscience support this and fully plan to explain to the kid why he may not be getting his participation prize at school - but I’ll happily take him after to pick out his own for being a trooper. We’ll make sure to pick up a couple gift cards for his teacher as well.

My child HAD to have the stuffed animal that came as a prize for adding the 6 email addresses- so we did. Before we could investigate the fundraiser, several family members made large donations; especially since you can’t donate anything less than $30, which should’ve been the first sign that this was a scam. Since our family had made a generous donation, I looked to see what the redemption options may be for our teacher and was SHOCKED at the prices charged! Sure, you give the teacher 100% of the donation, but you charge them AT LEAST double for the redeemable products. And the excuse in previous complaints stating “other fundraisers do this/that/we give more/over the years we’ve donated this much” is nothing more than words. How much has your business pocketed in comparison to how much you’ve given? Either be a fundraising program and DO ACTUAL GOOD or get into a line of business where you’re driving a profit based on sales- not on manipulated donations. The purpose of a school fundraiser is to help teachers and children- not turn a large profit for owners. This people who like this company haven’t looked into how much they profit and TAKE from the teachers and kids.

Goodluck canceling a subscription. Their phone numbers on their website don't work. No way of canceling my sports illustrated subscription I got through them. Scam scam stay away. Multiple numbers on the internet and all out of order.

We have canceled your subscription to Sports Illustrated as requested. Our office was closed the week of July 4. We had a detailed message on our voicemail. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

This company is very shameful because they use minors for a revenue. They receive $2500+ for the student to just receive a 500 dollar item. Promising that teachers will receive stuff when they don't. "The school receives 40%" This is not good. This business should not be accredited.

This is one of the best fundraisers that we do at our school. All kids have to do is send emails to people they know to get a prize! If someone purchases something from the website the student is rewarded points. So many points equal up to many different prizes depending on the point level. The kids love the prizes and are surprised when they receive them! The best thing is the Caring for Classrooms gift cards for teachers! The teacher gets to purchase items from their website that they can use in their classroom! The teachers get so excited when they get an email saying they have a gift card! We will continue to use this program in the future!

The Caring for classrooms program is such a great way for teachers to stock on some needs in a trusting way for families, but why are 144 pencils $85? A great program would give typical prices for items.

Since starting the Caring for Classrooms gift card program, we have delivered more than $200 million dollars directly to teachers to purchase supplies and essential learning tools for their classrooms. In most all fundraising efforts, the school would get 40% of sales in profit. In order to give the teacher 100% of the donation, we must charge the full retail price of the products we offer. Some products can be found cheaper on ******, but we have invested in creating a program that provides a means for every teacher to have funds available to purchase needed items.

I never gave this company my email address and yet i'm subscribed to their list and they won't stop emailing me! They have sent 5 emails this past 7 days. They claim they are a school in the USA and they keep asking me for donations even though I don't live in the USA and never signed up to their email list. Someone named Elizabeth keeps emailing claiming she's a Coordinator for ********** Elementary School, SchoolStore. The emails they provide a students ID number and school ID number and keep asking me to donate and to click a link ****** marked as suspicious. The company seems like a scam trying to take money from people.

I am not the parent or guardian of****** nor am I ******. I don't live in the USA and the links in your emails are flagged as malicious by gmail. No one ever gave you my email address. You are trying to steal money from people. The websites look like a scam. Seems pretty unsafe to be sharing students and parents full names online randomly with random people. Why would you share a child's first and last name and their student ID on the internet or in a email that you haven't even confirmed the email address or asked if I want to be on the mailing list? For an organization that works with schools, you don't think much. Why would you put children at risk like that? I am still getting emails from you even though I unsubscribed. Rather than trying to advertise what you are in the BBB review, how about you address what I have said?

The promises made in the solicitation emails are phoney! We continue to receive emails promising a bluetooth fidget spinner is only 2 points away even though we have already paid for those points and our granddaughter got a little stuffed animal instead. At the top of the page it falsely claims you can 'track' your child's process, but instead you're taken to another where you can't see anything about how many points your child has accumulated, but rather can just buy those other '2 needed points'. Very dishonest marketing!

Our records indicate that **************** has a total of 6 prize points. She has earned both level 1, Safari Backpack Pet, and level 2, Bubble Popper. These two prizes should ship to the school within the next few weeks. The student needs 2 more prize points to earn The Fidget Spinner. For the inconvenience, I will gladly add 2 points to ********** prize thermometer so that she will receive this prize. Please forward me the email that you received regarding the student's progress so that I may research the issue further. My email address is **************. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this matter has caused you.

The Reading for Education Fundraising Program is an excellent fundraiser. What I really like is the Caring for Classrooms Gift Cards for teachers, where they can use these gift cards to purchase items for students and the classroom and not use their own money. These gift cards are given throughout the whole year for teachers without an expiration date. In addition, the students are rewarded with prizes for sending out emails to family and friends. This fundraiser is the easiest way to help and support teachers for materials they need and can use for their students academic success. I would recommend this fundraiser to any school that is looking for an easy and less stressful way to contribute to teachers classroom funding. The Reading for Education fundraising company is a way to do fundraising super easy. Parents respond so much more with being able to just send out emails to friends and family; and to buy items or gift cards online. The people responding to the fundraiser are happier to do so being able to do it online to help our school and teachers....plus the student gets awesome prizes.
