Look for another business to do your repairs. They said my ***** on demand hot water unit was bad and needed to be replaced. I replaced with a ***** unit they recommended but purchased myself because they were $600 more than anywhere else. Marey requested that I send back their unit ; which I did and low and behold the unit was in good working condition and refunded every penny of the purchase price even though there was nothing wrong with unit. I have had several problems since. They forgot to install they clean out valves. Then there were other issues with water leaks and the newest one is a propane leak found by my propane company due to them marring the union. I was charged for it not to mention the propane I lost and we all know how expensive propane is right now. When I called Roscoe Brown to inform them they came out and put new part where it was leaking. When I asked for reimbursement for charge by propane company to find leak and for some of the propane. They basically said they would pay $66 for finding leak by the way they charge $99 thru Roscoe Brown and $50 for the lost propane,but they feel like it's not their fault. Then I got upset! I sent them every receipt and pictures. We have had to go without hot water and heat 1 night when it was cold due to these multiple problems. I am home bound disabled and my husband is in end stage kidney failure on dialysis. Look I was not looking for anything free or a hand out. Just fix the problem. You were paid in full. I want to be reimbursed for expenses that were incurred from work that was not done properly. He also told me that the higher ups at Roscoe Brown thought I was looking for something free because they had come out multiple times. If it was done properly the first time we would not be going through this. You are supposed to be the professionals. I trusted you as professional company Not to mention your prices are higher than anyone in area.Review from Saeed Z

Rating is on the asking fee to replace a leaky cold water cut-off valve inside the guest bathroom. Recommendation was to also replace the hot water valve that could start leaking. Cost was $540.00. You heard it right!. I have used RB on A/C work before and very satisfied. However, if they start charging fees like this, they will lose lot of customers. I asked why cost was so high, and the technician said it was by the book. Replacing two water cut-off valves that are easily accessible for $540 is outrageous. I am replacing both valves myself for about $15.Review from Jim G

We’ve used Roscoe Brown for over 20 years on our primary home and rental properties. We’ve always had excellent service! Recently (on Christmas Eve) we had to call in with a heating issue. I spoke to Susan (who seems to work 24/7/365) and she was kind and expedient in getting us an appointment. RB sent a wonderful tech (Nathan S) to our home first thing in Christmas morning to take care of us. The issue was not a mechanical problem at all but resulted from an additional space we added overloading the system. Nathan was nice enough to explain our options and what we could do to help with the problem until we could upgrade our system. Roscoe Brown is not the cheapest option around but I will always recommend them over less expensive companies based on their quality, knowledge and responsiveness!Roscoe Brown, Inc. Response

The worst company I've dealt with in 24yrs in Nashville. How the heck they've stayed in business since 1940 is one of earths greatest mysteries. I woke up Wednesday, Nov. 3 with no heat and no light on my T-stat. I called Roscoe. Someone named Robert came and said the unit outside needed a fuse. I wrote a check to pay for the part and the service, over $100.00. Later that afternoon Robert had to come back, no light on the T-stat and no heat in my home. Robert came and said I needed a new T-stat. He brought one in that is programmable that I cannot use. He did get the heat to come on both times before he left. I paid him 295.00. Thursday morning I awoke with no light on the T-stat and no heat. I asked him since he was coming back to bring me a *********, he came and installed it, and got heat to come on again before he left. Friday AM I awoke no light on the T-stat and no heat. I called and asked for a refund and was told they would have to research and it would be Monday before I could get an answer. I called another heat company and he came that afternoon telling me how Monday he would fix my heater. Saturday I called Roscoe and was told no one was there to help. Monday I contacted my bank and stopped pmt on the check and contacted my credit card dept. They agreed to investigate for me. I called my second company and asked him to wait until Roscoe could come over and get their T-stat. I got transferred ro a lot of people. My second company fixed my heater. This is Friday and Roscoe person finally picked up their T-stat, but not before wanting me to leave it on the porch overnight in the cold. twice. I do not trust this company, I was refunded my 295.00 but the first check never made it to the bank. I took a picture of the tech today to prove he did pick it up.Roscoe Brown, Inc. Response

Our technician, Robert, did go to Ms. ********** home twice, once for the fuse and the second time to replace the thermostat. After a couple of days, she called and left a message that her heat wasn't working. Our service manager returned her call the next business day, and she told him the new thermostat didn't work and she wanted a refund. Our service manager offered for us to come back out and that's when she told him that she had already called another company and they had already uninstalled the thermostat in question and replaced it with another one and she wanted a full refund and for us to come pick up our thermostat. Our service manager agreed and set up two times for someone from Roscoe Brown to come pick it up, but neither time worked for her. That's when he asked her if she could just leave it on her porch and someone would be by to get it, which we did. We processed her full refund and caught the credit card charge (the 2nd charge) before it was even charged to her account, and mailed her original check back to her - it never even made it to the bank. We believe we did everything she asked of us and did it all in a timely manner. As we take these reviews very seriously, we wish we would have had the opportunity to install a thermostat in her home that met with her approval.Review from John B.

We recently had a Roscoe Brown plumber out to our residence in Tullahoma to repair a water leak near the meter in the front yard. He arrived at 9:30 a.m. and left at noon. He left for at least 30 minutes during that time to get a part (approx. $10 dresser coupling). He hand dug a hole, located the 3/4 inch pvc pipe, cut out the cracked section, and attached the dresser coupling. He then filled in the hole. The charge was $686. I figure that's $270 an hour. I complained to RB in Tullahoma and Murfreesboro. I never did get to speak with anyone in Murfreesboro, as they kept referring me to Tullahoma or said they'd call me back, which they never did. Tullahoma's RB manager finally did give me a $100 refund. He spoke to the man who did the work who told him that he gave a price up front for the work. That was not true. When the home owner (and his wife) asked, they were told by the plumber that he couldn't give a price until he knew what the problem was. Home owner thought, RB, being a well known and respected company, would not overcharge him, so he told him to go ahead and fix it. Lesson learned there. If we had known it would cost that much to dig a small hole, we would have dug it ourselves.Roscoe Brown, Inc. Response
