I purchased ge refrigerator in Feb 7th 2023 for *******. June 2023 refrigerator has a bad compressor. I have been without a refrigerator for 2 weeks. I had to throw away all my food. I do not want this ge refrigerator. I call general appliance and told I have to go thru GE. I bought this at general appliance not ge.Business response

This GE refrigerator was purchased 2/9/2023. General Appliance & Furniture ** was notified at the end of June 2023 that the refrigerator was not cooling. Our service technician went out to the house to check the refrigerator and found that it had a bad compressor. GE Company was notified that the compressor had gone out on this refrigerator. ************** does not change out refrigerator compressors . GE has a specific chain of events as well as other companies that it follows when responding to a problem. Our Salesman, *********************** notified GE about the bad compressor. Then GE searched their inventory for a same model & make refrigerator to replace the ******* refrigerator. GE did not have this particular refrigerator in stock and this model had been discontinued. General Appliance & Furniture received confirmation from GE that they would issue credit and General Appliance & Furniture could swap out the bad refrigerator with another refrigerator that was comparable to the one purchased. That Refrigerator was delivered to the ******* on 7/13/2023.
