      I just spent the last week hammering out a deal on a used car with this dealer. After some back and forth, I put down a deposit and was going to come out and purchase the vehicle. After I placed my deposit, Landers must have decided that they didn't like the deal we came to and sent the car to auction instead. I work nights and sacrificed sleep on days I worked to be more convenient for them, and their response was to just sell a car out from under someone coming in from across the state, rather than honor the deal they agreed to. I will never shop at a Landers location ever. And I encourage anyone else considering it to ******* it, as they are not a business that honors their word.And when I called the dealer to see if anything could be arranged to let me still come pick up the car, I was told "nope, the car is sold," and then hung up on by sales manager ***. Not a phenomenal way to do business.

      We made a mistake by taking a deposit on a vehicle without the final numbers and trade being worked out. The vehicle was sold on an auction site it was previously listed on. We apologized to the customer and refunded his money. We also did this prior to the customer commuting across the state with his proposed trade. We have coached the salesperson and manager involved with the deal on better ways to handle situations like these in the future.

      Made a appointment on 1/31/23 at 10:00 am for oil change using a gift card i won from attending a charity event at Landers Ford in Collierville Tn late summer of 2022. I arrived at 9:50am handed my gift card to Service adviser ******* then he didn't know what to do so he called his boss ***** which thats when things went bad . I was treated terrible very disrespectful by this person stating he couldn't accept this card due to my vehicles age being older than ten years old. I explained why wasn't this stated on gift card so i wouldn't have wasted my day from missing work . I ask to speak to his boss which i was denied so at this time going back and forth now its 11:02 and he decided to honor the gift card and told me using his very rude voice that he was only going to change oil and not do the other inspections listed that was stated on card . I watch him go out to ******** talking to three other mechanics standing under my truck laughing and playing around as if my truck was a joke to him very very unprofessional as I watched thru glass door . It seemed he told mechanics to take there time being hateful no one touching my truck for 47 minutes . I noticed the mechanic disappeared for long periods of time didn't care i was watching . FYI I noticed during this two hour oil change ordeal mechanics working on other people cars just playing around talking and laughing together listening to loud music mean while charging customers by the hour . This was a terrible experience and will let everyone know about this dealership service department . Everyone beware of the unprofessional service over charging hourly rates while mechanics playing around on your dime ...

      I spoke with the guest regarding his concern. The communication from our personnel did not provide the experience that we desire for our guests. We honored the offer he presented to us, but it took more effort on his part for this to be accomplished than it should have. We have followed up with our team on how to handle these situations and look to provide a much-improved experience in the future. **************** appreciated the support Landers Ford provides to the community and the ************ of Memphis. His issues were specific to this individual situation. Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

      Made an appointment for 9:30 AM in reference to a letter I received from ******************. Upon arrival I showed the letter to the service advisor. After six hours I contacted Landers Ford and was advised they needed to keep my truck two more days as a part was on back order. I advised I would come get my truck and return when they received the part.
      Upon arrival I learned they had not looked at my truck and was told the service department was running several days behind. I informed the General Manager and Service Manager of the situation and it have been nice to have informed me before I left my truck. Not the first time for issues with Landers.
