      Use with caution, run, stay away. My car was at this shop for 3 1/2 months, with delay after delay. When I did pick it up this week the interior had the odor of a strong chemical that I could not air out with windows down on a drive of over 90 miles, left outside with windows down for over 25 hours. They claim it was the leather smell even after being notified that it had been determined to be some sort of paint thinner by independent body sources. I know the difference between leather smell and a chemical smell. No amount of trying to pull the odor out is gonna work. They have ruined a perfectly good car and paid for. Guess I'll have to drive it breathing a chemical solvent. Will not take responsibility for staff error.

      ***IMPORTANT PLEASE READ RESPONSE***
      Mrs. B****, we are sorry that you did not have a good experience with us at Joe Stewart Body Shop. Our goal with every customer and car is to provide the best in service and collision repair. The damage to your vehicle was an extensive repair including Body and Suspension, so that along with all of the other items out of our control these days such as parts/ supply chain issues, employee's out due to covid, etc. all played a big part as to time of repair on your vehicle. Once you called us with the odor issue in your car, we did respond as quickly as we could. We immediately towed your vehicle to our shop so not to inconvenience you. When we got the car, we ourselves could not smell the odor you were describing, due to we did not have any of those type chemicals on the inside of our vehicle at any time. Being that we by no means wanted to discredit what you were smelling, we did go ahead and send to the dealer to have them put an O-Zone Machine in your car which will eliminate any type of chemical smell on the interior of a car, to insure that the issue was resolved. After receiving your vehicle back from the Dealer, we at that point had your car delivered back to you, so that once again you were not inconvenienced. We have been in business for over 50 years and take great pride in what we do and strive to do our very best for our customers day in and day out. So again, we do apologize that your repair had a bit of a hiccup at the end; we appreciate you as our customer and for choosing Joe Stewart's to repair your vehicle. The warranty on your vehicle stands for as long as you own, so if there are any other issues, please give us a call and we will do our best to take care of you as quickly as we can.       FYI-Ozone Machine did not work. Upon return of my car on 01-11-2022, the odor was as bad as ever. I'll repeat, you destroyed a immaculate, paid for car with your negligence. Own up to your mistake.

      Addendum:Dan abruptly called on Friday, 01-07-2022, at approximately 2:00 pm and said he was having my car brought to my home after Kelly had told me on December 29, 2021, they would not bring it back. The initial call notifying me to come pick up my vehicle was on Thursday, Christmas eve, December 24, 2021, at approximately 2:00 p.m.. This seem to be a pattern to call me late in ****** afternoon on the the fay before weekend or long weekend because of a holiday, therefore I would not be able to complain and they could say that it was something I did. Dan and Kelly seem to be the common thread in this scam.
      Compensation is called for as the result of my car loss, which it will probable be a total because the odor cannot be removed and due to my medical condition.

      Mrs. B****, we are sorry that you are still not happy with your vehicle. We took all of the precaution's necessary to insure you received a quality repair, which you did. We at no point had any type chemicals in your vehicle to cause the issues you are describing. Regardless, we did go ahead and send your vehicle to the Dealer to have the Ozone Machine placed in your vehicle to remove any type of Hazardous Chemical that could cause any type of issues on the inside of a vehicle which was completed and returned to you. This type machine will leave a hint of a citrus smell in the car which will subside over time. The people at the dealer had a hard time smelling anything that had a strong odor as well. They did mention that the aftermarket floor mats you have in your vehicle could be a cause of the problem. We have done all that we can do with your vehicle at this point. If there happens to be anything else that is an issue with the repair on your vehicle, please feel free to contact us with what those issues are and we will be happy to attend to those.
