I am a victim of identity theft. I've noticed unauthorized transactions and suspicious activities linked to my identity. I've filed a police report, but I need assistance in resolving this issue. I hope to recover my financial losses, clear my name, and request your help in removing this account from my credit report. I completed my final payment in 2021 I was reached out about owing $*** dollars and I informed that loan was paid off. They being putting missed payments on my credit report and then this mont charged me twice without my consent for 2 payments I never authorized. At this point I just want to stop being charged and have this removed off of my credit. I am trying to buy a house and I was not approved for my loan because of this.Business response

I had an account opened last year fraudulent the store which they had said I rented from told me they don't lease furniture there I'm in a process of getting a home and it shot my credit score down I need this removed immediately I am even willing to do a pay and delete for a lesser amount if it can be done before I have to close on my home if not I can just wait until they see it was not my account to begin with.Business response

I checked my credit report and noticed I had late payments from SMART SALES. At the time, I was transitioning between jobs and going through an economic hardship. As you can see, I have made most of my payments on time so I am asking in goodwill faith for this one time to please remove these late payments from my account. I am trying to increase my score to qualify for a mortgage and I would greatly appreciate if you guys would forgive the late payments.Business response
