I hired The Moving Squad to move my belongings from Atlanta, GA to Bluffton, SC the weekend of July 29-31. Among other grievances - which are not part of this complaint - they misplaced and never delivered a large floor mirror. It was NOT one of the many items left behind that they were unable to fit on the truck - all of which I wound up having to give away. So at some point the mirror was on the truck yet was not delivered. I need to replace it and want to be reimbursed for the loss. I explained all this over the phone to my point of contact and to the owners. They said they would get back to me with a resolution, but they never have and have been unresponsive to further attempts at communication from me.Initial Complaint

The moving squad moved our furniture from ** ******* **** Saint Matthews April 2021. They stored it for one year. Upon delivery, a year later, a leather recliner and side table were missing. However, they had the cushion to the chair. They promised to look for the items. They were not to be found and said insurance would cover $1500. This is not acceptable. We sent pictures of similar items with prices, with no results. The value of the furniture or comparable furniture to what they misplaced is well over $5000.Business response

We are very saddened with Mr ******’s experience. Insurance covers 0.60cents per pound. We added additional monies and that was rejected.Initial Complaint

They moved us from Spring Valley and two of my master bedroom bed feet are missing. We tried contacting the lead manager to no prevail. Michael XXXXXXXXXX is who we have been trying to resolve this situation with.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/01/18) */ On Jan 11, 2022 we contacted Mr ***** and spoke with him regarding the missing two bed feet. We had ordered them and they were supposed to have been shipped to him soon after his moved was completed. They never did arrive. We asked Mr ***** to take a picture of one of the other feet and text to us so we could order them. As of 01-18-22, no pictures have been received. Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/01/21) */ This is what's missing. The business owner stated that they were delivered to his home and delivered by mail to our home. Haven't seen them. I also had to have them return a dolly to us that was removed from the property. They asked for pictures but I'd been through that already. Business Response /* (4000, 19, 2022/02/07) */ I apologize to Mr ******. I have tried the local furniture stores to get replacement. Could you please send the manufacturer and model number so that I can order.
