    Do not use this company I repeat do not use this company paid a lot of money to run new exhaust and they ran it incorrectly and refused to correct her mistakes when I mentioned a lawyer the owner said bring them on

    Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Mr. ********* complaint. On January 18, 2021 he brought his 2003 Ford Mustang in for exhaust work to be done. We custom fabricated 2 exhaust pipes to his car and also installed 2 chrome tips on the rear of the pipes. When he picked up his car he loved the job that was completed and gladly paid, the amount was around $375. On June 21, 2021 he stopped at the shop and wanted me to look at his car so I walked outside to look. He started by saying he was very happy with the sound and what we had done but he was going to have his car chassis modified by another shop, that does not do exhaust work, and they said the exhaust system was not compatible with the lowering kit. I explained to him that the exhaust system was custom made for the way the car was when the work was done and if he would like a new system made so that it would work with a chassis lowering kit we could do that, but there would be another charge because it would have to once again be custom made. He began to get aggravated and said that we should do it for free. I explained to him that doing any type of chassis lowering on almost any kind of car new or old almost always requires a new system to be installed. He then ask what I was going to do to fix his car and if I didn't do so he would hire an attorney and take legal action. I again explained that the system was custom made for the way the car was in January 2021 and not the way he would have to have it for a car that is modified. His demeanor at that point began to escalate and threatened legal action again. I was not going to continue the argument with his threats and at that time did tell him to send his attorney. He got in his car and sped out of the parking lot.

    We have been in business since 1989 and have installed thousands of exhaust systems on new and classic cars. When a vehicle is brought in, the exhaust system is made for the current way the vehicle is configured unless otherwise requested by the owner at that time. In most cases 99% of our systems are custom made which is what we specialize in. Chassis modifications such as lowering or raising a vehicles body will have an affect on where several systems have to be placed. There is no way to know what a customer or different owner is going to do to that vehicle in the future so we install the exhaust for how it is presently set up.

    Of course, he is going to try and put words in my mouth..... He said he's been in business so long he should've known the correct way to run the exhaust. i asked him if he wanted to see the schematic from FORD and that's when he started getting an attitude. All i wanted is my exhaust installed correctly... i had gotten other estimates that were much cheaper but a friend had said that GARYS did good work, he just installed the exhaust the cheapest way he could to make more money. I had asked him politely if he was going to correct his work and that's when he wanted to start walking away saying that his work was correct. i guess it is what it is and GARYs will get away with it and the customer loses out. oh well

    I'm sorry that he feels this way. It was installed correctly for the way the car was when it was brought in. When a car is lowered it changes a lot of things such as angle of the driveshaft which can cause the factory specifications to change, unnecessary loads on wheel bearings that are factory spec and exhaust angles just to name a few. If there had been a problem we would have fixed it, we stand behind our work but the there is not a problem with the work, especially after using it for 6 months. I wish him well and hope that he finds satisfaction.
