Had my engine go out and brought it to a mechanic. They said I needed to bring it to a dealership as it has an issued warning on the vehicle. I literally printed out the notice from Hyundai website saying in bold that the vehicle would be inspected at no cost to me and I would be provided a rental. They said it was 180 dollars to even look at the vehicle and rental could take 4 months. I showed them what the paper said and they replied that’s not how we do it here. I then asked for a number to reach corporate and they said we are the customer service. They said it was a Hyundai problem and not them. I understand the rental taking a few weeks for inspection but 4 months is unheard of. Reached out to other Hyundais and they said that is absolutely untrue and they would inspect my vehicle for free under the class action extended warranty. This place is a scam.Review from Kristina H

Brittany from the service department was unprofessional and rude! We waited five hours for her to tell us that they could not find the noise we were talking about with our car. When I questioned her about their findings, she became very argumentative and told us we should go to another dealership and the noise must be something rolling around in the car. I have a recording of the noise which is obviously something mechanical and they did not want to find the problem so they lied. This could be very dangerous if there is something wrong with our brakes and they told us there was not. When we left, we could not find our car anywhere and had to go find an employee who took 15 minutes to finally bring our car around and it was out of gas.Review from Tonya C

Car went in because the steering column locked up while driving after $600 was told nothing found, less than a week locked up 4-5 more times so we took it back. Surprise issue found this time BUT part could not be gotten....in the almost SIX MONTHS they have had my car. POOR at best communication, no resolve and tried to charge to pick up car since I am making payments when NOTHING has been done. The car has sat there for months, battery has gone bad, gas, oil , etc probably bad, tires not moved so possible dry rot setting in and dash extremely dry from setting in the sun all summer. Federal law apparently states car manufactures must have replacement parts for cars 10 year or newer...mine is a 2017! NO parts, NO help, NO NOTHING but wants payment REALLY? For what? GM called and phone line was horrible, never got another call back, Corporate has been involved since the start of the second round no help. DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR TO THEM IF YOU WANT IT FIXED. Single mom, four kids, no ride...isn't that great!Review from Tim G

First time ever going there, I brought my 2016 ****** in for it's first routine service and oil change. I got it back the next day and the engine blew out on me on the highway. I had it towed back there. Took a month for a new engine, which ******* covered for free. Service advisor Brittany V****** treats you like you're bothering her whenever you call for an update on your car. She insists that she has told you things she never has before. She CONSTANTLY cuts you off and interrupts you in order to get her point across. She even LIED to my face on 2 occasions. (Both times were her denying she said things she HAD said) Her boss, Andrew P***, the service manager literally rolls his eyes whenever you report a problem and had the audacity to raise his voice at me and ask said "you got what you wanted, you can leave now," when I complained, (and succeeded in getting reduced) about a price that I was being asked to pay that was $150 higher than what was originally agreed upon for a simple trim piece that wasn't even installed correctly! I just wanted to get out of there and away. I will NEVER go back there, and seriously questioned owning a ******* at all after dealing with these people. I will be writing to their GM and ****** Review as well.Review from Chad K

Wesley B**** is the business manager who handles the contracts and financing. He is very sleezy and tries every trick in the book to get the most money out of you. He tried to make me sign a document agreeing to 6 years of financing at 6% interest without ever asking how I wanted to finance and by describing the document as “agreeing to let Hyundai finance the loan” but not mentioning the terms. The document also does not show the interest rate being charged, I had to specifically ask about it. I then told him I want the 0% APR for 36 months and 90 days deferred payments that are advertised all over to which he said the 90 days deferred cannot be combined with the 0% APR, which is a blatant lie. He also tried the classic sales techniques of saying he’s the only dealership that does not upcharge on MSRP and that I would not be able to get the car quickly anywhere else, quoting 9 months for an online order. I also suspect he made a fake phone call in which he regurgitated the lines he told me as if it was his manager agreeing with him. He also shows a chart of 4 packages of warranties and tells you to choose one of the packages without explaining you can pick and choose which, if any, you would like to get. Our salesman was great, but Mr Butts needs to be fired, and sued, for trying to trick me and I’m sure others into the highest loan term at the highest interest rate by excluding the terms in the explanation of what I’m signingReview from Alice M

If I could give 0 stars , I would. My son purchased a new 2021 Hyundai Elantra in 2020. He began having an issue with his tire pressure light coming on and his cruise control not working in July 2022. He took the car in for service. Within 10 days, the issue returned . He continued with the issue and attempted to get it rectified. In early Oct. He took it in for this same problem on Monday Oct 10 . No one looked at the car until Wednesday despite having an appointment on Mon. He was then told that a "special tool was needed to remove the front bumper. It would be ordered. It should take about a week. My son repeatedly attempted to call the dealership to check on the status . No one returned his call. He went to the dealership in person today to try and find out the status of the repair. He was initially told that the tool was never ordered. Then he was told that the technician had bought the tool and had not told anyone. They then told my son the earliest they could schedule him was Tues. He is moving out of state on Wednesday. He told them it needed to be done by Monday. They refused an earlier appointment. I returned to the dealership where I asked to speak with the Service Manager. After waiting 20 minutes, he finally arrived. He was very rude and condescending to both my son and me. He tried to tell me it was due to supply chain issues. When asked about what we were previously told, he said it's supply chain issues. I asked about the unreturned calls. Again , he was condescending and rude to me, asking " What do you expect me to do?" I asked him to reschedule us for Monday. He told me that he only had 2 technicians and it wasn't going to happen. I then asked to the general manager. He told me that his boss was in west Columbia and told me to call him. I called the number he told me to call and was told that the dealership has no relationship with Dick Smith Hyundai and that I had been lied to. We have never been treated like this in the past.Review from Michael L

We own a 2021 Pallisade with 25,000 miles. Our vehicle was do for oil change and tire rotation per their supposed complimentary maintenance. This service center said that because the vehicle now has over 22,500 miles we would have to pay for this service. The sticker placed in the window from the service center says 22,500 miles or June. This service center has been very difficult to work with leading up to this review. The first maintenance period we had to take the vehicle to another service center because they did not have an appointment available for over 4 weeks. A second time I needed to get a new tire but they did not have an available service appointment for that so I had to buy the tire there and then go to another tire shop to have them install. We had an appointment for last week to take the vehicle in for this maintenance but they scheduled the wrong day in their computer only to show up today for a rescheduled appointment but to be told that this "complimentary" maintenance would not be covered. Needless to say we will not recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from them or use them as a service provider.
