10 Star fitness offers several membership plans, including a "no-commitment" plan boasting a cancel-anytime policy. I joined the club in June of 2022 and decided to cancel in September. After entering the club and asking to cancel my membership I was informed that a third-party handled all cancellation requests. After calling the billing company I was informed that 10 star does not allow cancellations over the phone and instead a login would have to be created with the third-party provider. Additionally, they informed me that all cancellations require 30 DAYS of notice to be processed. This means that EVEN if you cancel on the first day of the month, the club still charges you for an additional month of membership. This was not listed anywhere in the club agreement and totally contradicts the nature of their no-commitment plan. 10 Star has now been trying to collect membership dues from me since September of 2022 and has even transferred the claims to a debt collector. This is fraudulent, unethical behavior designed to deceive customers.Business response
