On 5/30/23 I contacted *********************** of **************************** Electric. I needed a ballast in my closet flourescent light repaired. He told me he was driving back to his office his office and he would schedule a time and get back to me. I called him again later that day as I did not hear from him and he said they would be out on 5/31 to do the work.At no time did *********************** quote me a figure for the job. When ***************** of ***** Electric arrived, I met him in my garage at 11:50 am. The first thing he did was to tell me there was a $125.00 service charge just to show up, then $125.00 per hour for the work, and then $41.88 admin fees. I balked at this and imediately called *** at told him the $41.88 fee was excessive and not fair. He told me that he explained all his charges to me on the phone which was not true. I then told him I was not going to pay the admin fee. I signed the computer form agreeing to this after telling him I would not pay the admin fees. They do this knowing customer have an imediate need and will not turn them away.*** then began perfoming the work. Prior to his arrival, I had taken down the old light fixture and bought a new LED fixture per ***'s recommendation. All *** had to do was install the new light kit. He finished the job at 12:30 (total time 40 mins). I thought I would be charged for only 40 mins of the $125.00 per hour. *** then told me "Oh no, you pay for 1 hour or $125.00".I reluctantly agreed and then he makes a note that I refused to pay a $60.admin charge that was supposed to cost me $41.88. Looks like took liberty to add acollection fee of 30%.1. First of all, I had contacted **************************** to do the work. Not *****! 2. *** knew this admin fee was bogus but he could do nothing about it.3. 40 minutes @ $125.00/hour = $8250 . . . $125.00!4. *** told me he explained all the pricing on the phone prior to ***** showing up. He did not as I would have found another electrician. 5. I did pay $250.00

This business is unethical. They overcharged and overquoted for work at our business. They claimed $30k worth of repairs were needed and threatened building code violations etc. Numerous other electricians told us this was incorrect including the fire ********. In addition they hassled and abused our accounting manager calling her before and after work. Stay away.
