    Put **** down on 2015 dodge journey. Car drove for one day. Company refuses to refund or exchange. Haven't been able to use $600 warranty for anything but towing the car. Warranty purchased through shop (proguard) . Car broke down in bentree lane and **** sent two individuals to fix on it in the road. They then escorted me to my destination and said they would fix the car then told me it's mine and I needed to use the warranty. I argued the car had a bad motor they stated that it was the gaskets. I moved the vehicle to dun rite automotive where ******* stated he hadn't worked on gaskets in a year I then moved the car to ************** . They are charging me almost **** to fix on the vehicle not to mention the $600 diagnositc (confirming the motor is bad) . This car was in poor condition when they had me insure it put my money down and drive it off the lot. Not to mention I paid dunrite 169 to have it released. This situation is very trig erring as I work night shift and stay away from family in ********. Please help me reconcile this matter. I could have lost my life in that vehicle. I have never seen a car go that hot and smoke up that bad. I honestly was embarrassed and felt abandoned as I was in the middle of the road trying to push start the vehicle .

    To Whom It May ************** received notification of complaint number ******** regarding the 2015 Dodge Journey (VIN *****************) which was purchased from Lets Go Auto on 09/27/2023. This vehicle was sold as-is, as are all of the vehicles that we sell. We do, however, offer third party extended warranties to all our customers at the time of vehicle purchase. The customer did purchase the offered third party extended warranty at the time of purchase.We had the vehicle towed to our location after the customer notified us of her breakdown. This was done as a courtesy to the customer, as the vehicle was left in another business parking lot. We advised the customer to contact the warranty company which services her warranty, as repairs would more than likely be covered. We made no promise to complete repairs at our dealership as there was no warranty provided by the dealership.

    I am rejecting this response because: I am a single mother I can not afford to buy a new motor when these damages were prior to purchase. Driving a car for 24 hours is ridiculous and I expect more from a local business. I do not have another $4000 to spend on a car I just purchased. The shop is charging 600 just to release it. The warranty does not cover anything but towing. I will get active and more involved to protect those in my community if I have to.

    All of our vehicles are sold as-is. We cannot provide warranty service on a vehicle that is sold as-is. We did offer the customer a significant discount on needed repairs for work completed at our repair shop.

    I am rejecting this response because: the mechanic at dun rite stated he found blue devil in the engine which is a sealant to prevent leakage. Which confirms you guys were aware of the vehicles malfunctions and preceded to sell it as is which is not just to me or others seeking reliable transportation. Also why haven't the owner contacted me as I request. ? The quote you gave me on repairs done at the shop is not beneficial as I no longer trust ************ and also the quote I received at the current shop is better also I wouldn't have to waste time moving the vehicle. Is there absolutely no way I can trade the vehicle. Reminder:it operated one business day,not sure I put even 200 miles on the motor.
