We had Archadeck to fully revamp our very large lake home deck this past summer and can't be more pleased with the outcome. Marshall was one of the most professional design engineers that i have worked with and was very accommodating during the entire project. Not only was the design phase handled to make sure we were getting what we needed and wanted, but the construction and follow up was excellent. A couple times there were short delays because of material unavailability and Marshall always gave us a heads up; however, the final product was well worth the very short over run in time. To Archadeck's credit, they would not sacrifice quality by introducing less that the highest of quality products (how many other contractors insist on #1 select treated wood...non that i know of). In addition to the original superior construction, the proactive follow up to make sure that all was well is no less than excellent. They have come back, without being asked, and inspected the work and have replaced a few flooring boards that slightly warped. I have built 7 homes and 13 commercial structures over the last 40 years and would say that Archadeck is as good, and perhaps the best, contractor that i have employed. I would recommend Archadeck without reservation to anyone who wants the best of the best.

Marshall, Lowell, and the entire Archadeck staff and sub-contractors were awesome to work with. They completed my grill cabana project on time and at budget. I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. My interactions with all involved were pleasant and professional. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a well built outdoor living space. I will definitely utilize Archadeck in the future, as I am planning to have them install some heaters on my porch.

I have had a very disappointing experience with
Archadeck of Central South Carolina. I am in the process of surprising my mom with a sunroom addition on her home. Mother's Day is coming up and I thought this would be a wonderful surprise. I did my research and read all the glowing five star reviews. I was giddy and excited to begin. My mom (unaware it would be a gift) called and scheduled an appointment. She conferences me in on the appointment. We were working with Bess S******. She agreed to email us both a proposal. Well several weeks went by and we didn't hear from her. My mom calls three weeks after the initial meeting and Bess emails us back with typed number scenarios. When I asked for an actual proposal with a sketch of what the project would look like, I was addressed unprofessionally in an email as "hey" in order to receive a quote with a 3D drawing I would need to pay a non refundable fee of $500. If we choose to proceed the money would go towards a project. I emailed her back to say I've never heard of doing business this way. You haven't shown me any possibilities on what your company could potentially provide and what it would look like. This should be a part of the sales presentation. It was clear from the beginning that she wasn't really interested in our business or helping us with this project. From us having to contact her for a proposal, there was no follow up, and there was no sales presentation offered to us without a retainer fee of $500. Why would I trust to retain you when you haven't shown me any reason during the process that you even want me to retain you? Needless to say I'm so disappointed to have been treated this way.
