11/05/2022 is the purchase date from Columbia Power Sports. They offer an extended warranty from Revolos - DON'T DO IT!!! What a ripoff. I bought two GTR 230 SeaDoo jet skis and purchased the extended warranty. The warranty was to protect my purchase from month 13 to 60 and the manufacturer warranty covered the first 12 months. I requested a refund after reading bad reviews about Revolos. Well, the refund was prorated - prorated I asked the General Manager Anthony and the finance person Katie. How can it be prorated? The extended warranty does not go into affect until month 13. So, not only do I have to pay a $75 fee for requesting a refund, but get charged a prorated fee on almost $63 for each extended warranty.

The attachment "********* Extended Service Contract" is a copy of the contract that Mr. ********* purchased on 11/5/2022. He explains in his complaint that he believes his extended warranty protects his vehicles from month 13 to month 60, and the manufacturer's warranty covers the first 12 months of ownership. Unfortunately, he failed to realize that his extended contract from Revolos had benefits that are not mechanical related that start from the first day of ownership and last for the duration of the contract. Those benefits are explained in section 3 of the contract, and would compensate the owner for things like pick-up and delivery of the covered vehicles. Mechanical failures are added to the contract's benefits on month 13 after the manufacturer's warranty expires and last until the contract expires month 60.

Also, in section 8 of the contract labeled "CANCELATION OF SERVICE CONTRACT," it explains the following:

"4. If You cancel this Contract within thirty (30) days of purchase and no claim has been authorized or paid, the entire Contract charge paid will be refunded. If You cancel this Contract after thirty (30) days of purchase or if a claim has been authorized or paid, an amount of the unearned Contract charge paid will be refunded according to the pro-rata method reflecting the greater of the days in force or
the mileage elapsed based on the term of the Contract. Elapsed time and mileage shall be measured from Contract purchase date and mileage at time of purchase.
      5. A seventy-five dollar ($75) service charge and the total amount of any claim(s) paid under this Contract will be deducted from all refunds after thirty (30) days from purchase date or within thirty (30) days of purchase date if a claim was authorized/paid. If You cancel this Contract within thirty (30) days and no claims were authorized or paid, no service charge will be assessed."

If Mr. ********* would've cancelled the contract prior to 30 days, he would've received the full refund, but because the cancellation was made after 30 days the warranty company charged the $75 cancellation and also the prorated amount of $63 per contract. These were not charges from Columbia Powersports Center, but from the extended warranty company Revolos. We hate that our customer is not happy, but do not feel responsible to pay for charges he incurred that were outlined in his service contract.
