****2023 John Mack has a particular Modus Operandi that get's people on the hook and then, he lets people down by not completing the jobs. He comes to your house looking for a certain neighbor that don't fit anyone's description saying he was a loaded tank ready to be poured. Since the description don't fit anyone around, then he resorts to the second act which is to beg to allow him to put the coating for a fraction of the price. He always goes high to allow room to negotiate. Then, once he get you on the hook, he sends a crew that takes a quarter of the time from what he told you. they don't fill in the cracks so when you call him to ask when is he coming back, that's when act 3 starts: avoids detection....he blocks you number but you can call him from another number and he answers, then he apologizes and once again makes an empty promise to come by to complete the job. He then, blocks that number. He is a total CON artist from SC that travels throughout the east coast and delivers nothing but angry clients like myself who noW have 300 feet of driveways with untreated cracks. This is going to cost me twice to get a serious responsible company to fix this up. Mack is a thief.....by the previous complaints this is quite common for him to rip people off. DON'T HIRE HIM OR AT LEAST DON'T GIVE HIM MONEY UPFRONT UNTIL HE DELIVERS FULLY.Initial Complaint

3-**-22 Mack Coatings was to seal the cracks and coat the driveway with a rubber like coating for $2500 When the crew showed up I had to let them borrow my equipment to prepare the driveway as theirs wouldn't start. the cracks were not filled and they sprayed some type of tar, slopping it on my mailbox and sidewalk. I phoned Mr. Mack and he said he would have them return and do the job correctly. As of 4-**-22 I haven't heard from Mr. Mack or seen his crewInitial Complaint

Mack seal coating approached us about sealing our driveway claiming they were in the area, had too much product for their current job, would make us a deal etc. We agreed to a sum of $5500 to seal our drive and lot. John Mack guaranteed his work verbally and initial work was completed on Monday September **** close to dark. I expressed to Mr Mack there was significant overspray from the process on my home causing staining damage and that it would have to be corrected. He agreed to return that Saturday and we were satisfied with his verbal contract and paid for the service and repairs. He did not come that Saturday and I called him to remind him he had an incomplete job where many areas were left unsealed and repairs he was responsible for. He assured me he would be back the following Saturday September the **** No show again. I called again on Saturday the **** only to be assured yet again he would be here over the weekend to complete his work. After another no show I called to complain and could not get an answer nor was his phone set up to take messages somehow. I texted him I was thoroughly unsatisfied with his incomplete work, his lack or service after giving a guarantee, and that I expected a portion of my money returned so I could hire a crew to repair/complete his attempt to do the job.
