Avoid. Very deceitful finance managers. Pushes add ons even if you refuse and dont sign. Purchased 2025 Hyundai Tucson 01/2025. To start salesmen was polite. Issue comes from finance manager. Where do I even begin with this nightmare? Upon entering the finance office. Other finance manager raises APR from 8.99 to 9.99% for spite right in front of me. Would not let me use my capital one bank. I kept telling Isaih I didn't want any other optional products such as Dealer General Elite Plus Plan for 998.00 and Caltex 298.00. I understand the etching portion. However after profusely denying i wanted the extra "add on" the finance manager ignored me. At this point after exhausting myself because i know he lied to me i was trapped in a loan with add ons i didn't want and or need even though i profusely refused. I recently sold the vehicle and went back to get the other warranties refunded. First time I was told they were to busy. OK so I go back again spoke with other manager tells me to sit and wait. This time sat with Isaiah again. Same song and dance this time he did let me cancel GAP and Extended warranties. Still claims the other two products are not refundable. However during purchase I profusely stated I did not want those 2 "add ons". I even have the documents in front of me where I refused my signature. I would never recommend this dealership again. Not only was the other finance manager spiteful and loud Isiah could not take no for an answer on two products. I am also filing a BBB complaint along with SC Consumer Affairs. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, I understand these guys have to make some profit but I was lied to and cheated. I have included proof that I refused said products.

I have been using this location for all of my Hyundai needs, service and sales. I'm treated like family by all employees and even know the owner on a close level which is something I've never experienced! Thank you Hyundai of North Charleston. Can't wait for the new location!

I also have a hard time giving one star rating after my last encounter. I also agree that reaching a human being by phone is almost impossible. My Genesis was towed to the dealership on a Friday after the plastic undercover came disconnected and was caught beneath the car. This was early in the morning and the dealership was not open yet. When I called later that day I was told that due to the storm it would not be looked at this day but it would be on Saturday. When I called Saturday I was told that no one would be there and only oil changes were done on Saturday. So waiting till Monday I was contacted that indeed the cover was “shedded” but , that all collision work was subcontracted to other collision centers. I received a repair estimate and it included all types of diagnostic repairs and services that are due along with the already mentioned shedded part. Today is Thursday and my car is being held by Genesis I pay for the “work” that was done. The service manager Laura I spoke with on Friday insisted that I hit something in order for the damage to have occurred. She kept insisting that I had a collision and I kept telling her that I hit nothing that would have caused this to happen. I have loved everything about this car , but it is so frustrating and disappointing that this value is lost . No faith in the company whatsoever!

If I were Hyundai I would certainly be concerned about so many negative ratings. I took my 2021 Genesis in and was told the evaporator coil was bad. I took the car in on a Wednesday and got it back two weeks later after promises after promises on when my car would be ready. They are terrible about returning calls. You never get to talk to a manager or general manager. He/she is in a meeting or on the phone. I emailed my complaint a week ago to who I was told was the Service Dept Manager. A week later, I have not received a response. Do they really care about their customers?

I would give Hyundai of North Charleston a 0. To get a service manager to call you back is a useless situation. My car is a brand new 2024 Hyundai Tuscon. It has a water leak and not one person will do a thing about it. They say running a hose on it will not duplicate the problem. They were shown the spot where you can clearly see its leaking. Percy would not even get off his chair to go look. I had to have someone else look to see where it was coming in. After them having the car for a month I called and picked up my car. This is far from the end of it. I will go to the better business bureau if something is not done. They could care less about you once the car is off the lot. Poor service and even poorer management. No choice for a negative rating.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. This dealership is full of the most incompetent people I’ve ever laid eyes on. They force you to make appointments bc they don’t take walk ins and then keep your car for 8-10 hours the day of and sometimes you will be lucky if they even touch your car. On a previous visit they had my car 48 hours and still hadn’t changed my oil and that’s all I was there for. My most recent visit was to replace my o2 sensors and my appointment was at 8am. They didn’t call me until 4pm to tell me that they ordered the wrong sensors and it would take 2 more days for them to come in. This is absolutely absurd bc I made my apple weeks in advance!! No one should have to deal with this when they are paying for services to be rendered. I would go someplace else but this is the only Hyundai dealership in Charleston. I’ll be trading to another brand very soon bc of their incompetence. On top of it all they like to give you a bs list of recommended services that your vehicle doesn’t need just to try and get more money out of you. They are no help and provide no service whatsoever. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

We bought a 2021 Hyundai Elantra. I drive for work so needless to say the miles racked up pretty quickly. We didn't have anymore warranty covered oil changes but we did purchase the extended warranty through the dealer at the point of purchase. I took it to a 3rd party to complete the service. 2000 miles later, I was picking up my daughters from school one afternoon and my motor started making a loud ticking noise. Less than a half a mile, the car dies with me & my children. Puzzled, I started seeking out answers. Had the car towed to Hyundai Of North Charleston to be diagnosed because it's still under the 3-year 100,000 mile/powertrain warranty. Needless to say, the engine ceased. Immediately thinking the 3rd party screwed something up, I pursued them. After further investigation, apparently Hyundai has an issue with the oil pan & drain plug become detached due to a manufacturing defect (Google it). When the car got to the dealership, the drain plug was completely missing. Let me remind you, I drove the car for 2,000 MILES after the 3rd party performed said service. They're telling me there's nothing that they can do because I didn't have a drain plug to present but it fell out. There weren't any warning signs. No lights ever illuminated on the dash panel & the low oil indicator never came on. When the car finally gave out, is when all the lights on the panel displayed. As I'm trying to explain this, the service manager was very rude and had an "OH WELL" type attitude. Percy White (My Service Advisor) did the best job that he could have done from his position. Even the salesman (Zeke) who sold us the car was trying to help the best way he could. Overall, the service manager wasn't any help and had no compassion for our situation. So now we're stuck with a car note for a car that we can't drive. No resolution except to come out of pocket $10k to repair the motor. If there's a known issue, why should we come out of pocket for an expense that wasn't in our control?
