A total lack of customer service, ********** after TEN hours I called at 11:35 AM saying that my car stopped in the middle of the road by the entrance to the *********. It was a very dangerous spot and blocking two major roads. After being switched around I was sent to AAA Massachusetts.They said that because of my situation a tow truck would be there within the hour.They said they would call and text. 10 hours later I have not received either.Fortunately a police officer came after about 40 minutes I told him that AAA was on the way but the officer said that we had to get the car out of the road . He called a non-AAA tow truck that was there in 10 minutes. By the time we left 75 minuteshad passed and still no AAA tow truck!! I was waiting to see at what point they would call but they never did.I never use the servicealthough I have been a member for decades. This is totally unacceptable!!Meanwhile ********************* charged me $132 for the tow. I have the bill and expect to get reimbursed. What kind of service is this when I am in an emergency road spot and just get neglected and leaves you in a life threatening situation!!***********************Review from Lindsey B

Ive literally been waiting for a tow for two days. My car needs to be towed less than 5 miles and yet Im still waiting. Yesterday they sent a battery specialist instead of a tow truck and then I had to keep waiting- no tow ever showed. Today its been over three hours since the initial request and Im still waiting to hear about a tow. All the representatives keep saying is how sorry they are and how theyll get me in touch with dispatch, who never call. They need to be investigated for negligence.Review from June M

I am a AAA member stuck in a ditch in ************* and am told by triple A there is no help for me. Why do I pay for the service if I cant get service.Review from Sarah S

I bought a battery through *** about two months ago, a month ago , said battery stopped kicking over , I found out that *** had given me the wrong battery and using the given battery in my jeep was causing damage to the starter , and the first technician from the second visit to come to my house because of the original *** installed battery failing again , informed me that my starter was being damaged by the wrong battery *** had stated was the issue with my truck . That night , I had around EIGHT different technicians sent to my house, ALL WITH THE WRONG BATTERY OR NO BATTERY AT ALL. FINALLY, the last technician, located the supposed needed battery , left , drove to another location to pick it up and came back tonight , a month later .. my truck wont kick over AGAIN . I believe *** misdiagnosed the wrong battery in my truck , forcing me to pay for and replace a battery that was fine but would become obsolete from the main issue/ other battery, pulling power from it . I called tonight to make note of the incident, was told nothing could b done till the morning. The misdiagnosis that I TRUSTED *** not to make TWICE , putting myself and my trucks functionality to be put in the same situation a month later. ***s ignorance/misdiagnosis may have very well caused my truck further damage that I have yet to know about till the morning, because I was told no one was able to help me at this time . Im si disappointed by their lack of reliability and I will be updating this comment based on the outcome and whether they dont take care of the fix needed (they caused ) physically and financially. As if the first round of disappointments wasnt enough.i find out they were working on THE WRONG BATTERY , I have been paying for the wrong parts/service to potentially destroy my truck !!Review from Kathleen B

AAA has definitely lowered its standards. Rude agent I needed a tow last night. Called 9:08pm. Given a time of 12:50am as arrival. Two hours later, Agent calls Me, I cant find a tow truck. Try to find Your own. I called one, which is Aaa affiliated. Called agent back after being on hold a long long time. She said They are not on Our list. She wouldnt call Them. She said a driver would be there at 8:30 am. 9:30am still no driver. I called. Agent said Ill expedite to another team and call You back in 15 minutes. Never called back. Noon My car was towed to My house. ****** stated I could have towed You last night. We were never notified til am. Very rude agents. They dont check on You anymore Long wait time to get an agent on the line. They want things done online. From 9:08pm til next day at noonish before a tow. UnacceptableReview from Edward Z

AAA Northeast experience, called for roadside assistance at 4:50pm on 3/20/24. Setup assistance with there dispatch, the technician to help me called around 5:05 pm and told me he was around an hour out from my location so he told me that he was going to call AAA dispatch and have them transfer my case to another technician so I didnt have to wait to long , so AAA dispatch called me around 5:10pm to tell me they giving my case to another technician and he would arrive between 615 and 630 pm so I waited, and then reached out to AAA for an update, the first person put me on hold to talk to dispatch for an update after 15 minutes on hold, I was hung up on, so I call back an get a second person who could not up me so I asked to speak to a supervisor, on hold again , and then nothing, my third attempt I spoke directly to dispatch and he seemed confused on what was going on, in the mean time the first technician called me to see how I was making out by this time its 7:18pm he was shocked that i was still sitting with truck waiting for hep so he told me he would be at were I was in 20 minutes to help out, getting back to AAA dispatch he could not update me on what was going on, so then Im getting text messages from two different numbers from AAA with updates , one update was comical that the arrival time was one minute after the text message. the other text message was I should be receiving more updates. So first request for service was 450 pm , service complete time was 8pm .Review from Jason B

An employee was exceedingly passive aggressive with me over the phone and would not listen to my request, instead I was put on an infinite hold. Their phone service was terrible, I kept getting a different agent every time.Review from Raymond M

Nearly 3 hours and no communication even after making multiple calls for a live status update. The lack of professional communication is appalling and unacceptable!!!Review from Mara H

Horrible horrible horrible service. I understand there are many reasons the tow truck drivers may be delayed, I respect that however that info NEEDS to be communicated with the members. It's only professional and respectful. I was given an hr time frame when I first called at 5:27pm. I was given another call at 8:26 stating the driver was on his way and would be 45 minutes. It's now 9:36, I called to check the status and was told there's no update. I have to use the bathroom and I have my daughter is with because she doesn't want to leave me out here alone. I'm not home I'm on the side of the road. I could've gotten picked up and went home if I had known I'd be out here for nearly 5 hrs now. So unprofessional of the agents and the drivers not to update. Thank God ,I don't have a young child or baby with me. This service isn't free and goes up annually. Extreme disappointed. Please AAA, get it together!
