Brought my car to International Motor Group. They charged me $557.94 after telling me the total price would be $300.They wouldnt give my car back until paying the $557.94 When I got my car back in my driveway, it wouldnt startit was permanently locked in neutral and had a dead battery. This was not the condition I left my car in with them. I was told the charges were for putting my car back together after they disassembled it to do diagnostics.I tried multiple times to work with the managers -***** and ****- who were less than helpful in trying to resolve this issue. **** even stated that he forgot to tell me about the extra charge. When I asked to speak with the owner or someone above them, I was told I couldnt. I was told by ***** that **** is exceptional at his job and he never makes any mistakes, asserting I was wrong before even looking into the matter.Business response

We enjoy an excellent reputation among our community for the past 40 years and are very thankful for being able to service our wonderful clientele. As we know sometimes things don't turn out the way we expect. When this issue had landed on my desk I immediately discussed the matter with my staff, reviewed all the documentation and recorded phone calls. I found that the error was in the communication of my staff. I personally called the customer, explained the findings and refunded the customer the appropriate not authorized work cost on October 15,2021. This matter is totally resolved at this time.
