My mom took my car to a shop that recommended her changing out the transmission fluid because the transmission was having issues and they said it might help. Fast forward about a week or so, we had a mechanic here to check the transmission since he would be the one to replace the transmission. We all saw that the transmission fluid was completely black which means it was never replaced.Business response

In response to the complaint regarding the vehicle`s transmission.When the vehicle was brought to the shop we checked the transmission and told the customer that transmission was malfunctioning. We suggested doing a transmission flush but that it was not a guarantee that it will fix the problem. The customer accepted the suggestion. The customer then took the vehicle after the service to the vehicle was performed. The customer was aware that the issue with the transmission may reappear.We here at the shop did not do anything out of the ordinary or mislead in any way regarding the vehicle.Business response

The mechanic explained to her (The customer) her situation on the transmission that the fluids of her transmission were very dark and doing a flush was taking a chance that it would help prolong her transmission. The shop did a flush on her transmission . As for the fluid being black when it left the shop, the fluid that was changed was red in color. It was probably 2wks later when they called that the fluid was black in color . The customer understood this could happen again due to the transmission malfunction.Customer response
