About a month ago, I was traveling home from work and was informed that my apartment had a "water fall" in the living room. My son informed me that there was also water in the bathroom. I called the front office and informed them of the problem and authorized them permission to enter. I was informed by the front office manager *********************, that the hot water heater built up too much pressure and it had no where to go but out. we were informed by ***** that we must vacate immediately that it was not safe. we literally were using garbage bags to get the items out as fast as we could. even though I was told to vacate immediately, I was told i still had to pay the break lease fee. I did submit an email indicating that I would be leaving and I was told that i would have until 3/18/23 to vacate before this event occurred. I attempted to call the corporate office Golden crest properties and was given the go around and poor customer service. I finally got in contact with a general manager, *************************. I explained the situation and he stated he needed to speak to his boss. I informed him that i did not have a problem paying some of the money i just did not feel it was right to charge me the full amount when this was something I could not control. He informed me to email him the situation. I did this and I still have not heard back from him. I attempted to call him numerous times and he still has yet to return my phone calls or emails. I also attempted to speak to ********************* who wanted to blame my son for the issue and tell me that I would need to wait until the next day to receive an invoice because i was holding her up and her "man" was making her dinner. Meanwhile, the day this happened, ***** made the comment that she could "kill" the person who put a water heater on the 2nd floor because this happens a lot. I lost some items because I was told that it was not safe to enter the living room. I have been treated extremely poorly through this whole process.
