This company should not be providing HVAC services. Our first complaint with them was that they used the wrong size and brand air filter in our unit - which they assessed on a previous visit - this caused our system to disperse dirt, dander and debris throughout our home for months. They installed the wrong air filter in May/June 2023 and we found the issue in September 2023. I was paying monthly for their services for them to not care properly for our system. Now today I had a different company come out to look at our system because it is not functioning properly and they stated that the problem is that the previous company over charged the system, which caused a meter to malfunction. The quick fix is spending $3k on a new meter but they may not even take care of the issue. The only way to remedy what EMCO screwed up is buying a new system for $15k.

      ******,
We have already explained that the air filter was a little tight but was the correct dimensions of the filter that your system took. The only issue, which we became aware of later, is that your system specifically needs a ************ filter.  The filter when installed was not damaged and was absolutely filtering everything but because it was in there tightly, when removed it became damaged.
We never performed any repairs to your system. We performed two check-**** November 2022 and April 2023. At the time of both visits your system did not have any issues and all measurements were within norm.
Per your statement your metering device is malfunctioning. First with malfunctioning TXV (freon metering device) you can never measure refrigerant levels properly. Secondary your heat pump (all of them!)  have high pressure safety switch - a built-in safety feature that prevents the system from operating if the refrigerant pressure gets too high. This feature shuts down the heat pump to protect the internal components, if the pressure exceeds a set limit. So, your system would simply turn off in the event of being over pressurized.
We are sorry that you have issues with your system now, but we inspected it almost a year ago and it was working good at the time of the visit.Unfortunately, things break over time (especially when equipment is over 10 years old like your system!), and we are not responsible for that.

      Sincerely,
      EMCO Tech

I am rejecting this response because: during the April visit Freon was added to our system which over charged the system. We had a second company come out in addition to Horizon who stated the exact same thing. Too much Freon was added which over charged the system. This is what caused the *** Valve to malfunction. We are having this part replaced for $2266 which I would like to be reimbursed for. Forced hot air systems, especially ****** systems have an average life of ***** years.

      Regards,

      ******,

in April we performed pre-season tune up. We checked drain line and freon pressure. We have invoice signed by you confirming it.

Your system was working good at the time of the visit.

Again we are sorry that you have issues with your system now. Mechanical systems break. Your system is 11 years old.

      Sincerely,

      EMCO Tech
