      My grandmother was buried at this cemetery in 2022 and feb of 2023 I signed ppwk to purchase a headstone. I was told at that time that a temporary marker would be placed on her grave until the headstone was paid off. Until this day mo temporary marker has been placed. In march of 2023 I paid the headstone off in full and have called the office multiple times and employees are acting as if they don't know whats going on. They have acted as if they don't have information for my grandmother and as if the headstone has not been ordered. I need answers after paying over 3k.

      My grandmother's name is *********************** and the cemetery is ********* Memory Gardens **** located at ****************************, Chattanooga, TN. ********. I have attached a copy of the receipt I was given when I paid off the headstone

      My complaint is with ************ Cemetery. The grounds of the cemetery are a disgrace. We have had to contact them multiple times of the condition of my parents grave. They also have removed personal items left at the grave without any notice. They are disrespectful and treat their customers like garbage. I have attached pictures of how they ripped off items from graves and threw them in a pile. They didn’t notify families they were doing this or of any changes they were making. I would like help is having them stop removing items from graves and to communicate with the families. We understand there are rules to follow with holiday decor and items looking destroyed or old. We were told as long as items are put near the stone they will not be removed and that is not the case. I also would like help on holding them accountable for keeping up with the grounds. Graves are sunken, grass seee needs put down, holes need filled. They are the ones that make it look unkept. My family purchased plots and they are not providing the service or customer service that goes along with that.

      I purchased a burial from ************ Cemetery. I was not sure if it would be casket or urn. The salesperson said I could talk the manager for a refund if I went with the urn instead of a casket. Urn burial is cheaper. I read over the contact and did not see anything saying there will be no refund of overpayments. I purchased the casket burial. My brother body was so bad that we decide, upon his death, in November 2022 to cremate him. Since the Urn was cheaper than the casket burial I purchased, StoneMor Partners LP owners of the cemetery would not otherized a refund when I request it. They have also not responded to any of my subsequent requests for refund. Instead, they want me to by silk flowers or similar stone decorations to use the money up. I talked to the manger and sent letters requesting the refund after my brother interment. The letters sent seem not to make any difference. I don't know any business that keeps a prepayment for services they did not render nor can render in the future. All the other burial in our family plot is paid in full.

      I bought a marker for my husband's grave and it was delivered to ********** the end of Nov 2022. I personally saw it on the ground near the office on Dec 2nd 2022 and it still is not on his grave. I have called and stopped in to the office and keep getting lies about why it's not been put down by the park itself and stonemoor. I was told by a man in the office that they had 90 days to put it down and it was 90 days on March 4th and it still isn't down.

      I contracted with Stonemor of ****** through *********** Cemetery of Wichita in November of 2020 for a marker for my brothers grave there, paying them a total of $1145. They have stalled, claiming lost personnel and not answered my inquiries from the beginning, 6 months ago I thought Id finally finalized the design and the stone was ordered, delivery next month. Today I learned from old mission that oh! order was never placed for stone (6 months ago). Pretty sure I’ve been fleeced, trying to recupe what I can, would prefer a stone for my brothers grave but I as an individual am making no headway. I have all pertinent documents.

      My mother passed away 12-28-2020, her wishes were to be buried where her family is buried at ****** Memorial Park in South Charleston WV. Me and my father went there to make arrangements and purchased a plot for both my mother and father and a double tombstone. My mother did not have insurance so we had to fundraise to get the money for her plot and set up to make payments on my dads plot and the tombstone. The two people I dealt with directly were ***, and *****. I was late a few times on payments and they not only called me, but my dad, and my work phone multiple times a day, even after giving a date in which I would be able to pay. well a few months later (without my knowledge my dad sent a check for over $5,000 to ****** Memorial which was taken out of his account on November 1st, 2021. On December 14th I called to see if there was anything else we needed to do on our end. Then I finally got ahold of *** and was told I needed to come sign paperwork that day in order for the tombstone to be made. Which was December 28th 2021. THE SAME DAY SHE DIED. After just having a C-section 5 days prior. His comment when I said what day it was, "oh I thought that day looked familiar. The email was sent to him `10 days prior. We made many attempts to contact either *** or ***** because we were told they were the only ones who could speak with us. Left messages and we have been told 1st that there were manufacturing issues due to Covid. Then we for sure March, then August, then for sure November. On and ON and this is over 40 phone calls that zero were returned. The only time we talked to them was if we left work and showed up at the location or they just so happen to answer the phone. We have tried calling the manufacturer ( *******'s Granite) and they will only speak to the retailer. During all this time any kind of flowers or anything from friends or family have been thrown away because there is not a tombstone! Well we are out of options and patience. Please help!

      I paid for and have receipts to have my dads death date inscribed on his and my moms tombstone. The receipt is dated May 31, 2022. 595.00 I have another receipt for the same amount of 595.00 from them in 2019 and was told they did not get all of the numbers from my debit card. In May of 2022 I waited for the card to clear. I presented my receipts of the May transaction, the manager said he had to take the receipts to his office, I let him know I took pictures of my receipts. He told me he would talk to head quarters and take care of the situation. My dads death date is still not on the stone. The manager agreed to accept the 595.00 payment because the service was not done in 2019.

      Missing picture on brother’s headstone: I’ve had nothing but problems with **** ****** ****** trying to get to my brother’s headstone ordered/shipped/missing pic on his headstone. During Dec 2022 - April 2023 I worked with 2 employees that are no longer with company and give specific instructions with what should be on headstone/ including pic, poems, doves, etc..along with payments. It took over 7months to get it placed. I’ve contacted the office over 2months to try to get pic on headstone with no response from GM ******* or Stone Mor corp office. I was told by ******* that my contract did not indicate a pic and I only paid $3600, but I paid a total of $4355 All I’m getting is excuses. Notes of conversations with business: 11/22- spoke to ******* and confirmed headstone was laid, but text picture indicated pic was missing. 12/16/22- spoke to ***** will check why pic is missing from headstone. Sent email with details. 1/10/23- left message on machine requesting callback from manager regarding pic on headstone 1/17/23- spoke to Sonny regarding follow up from manager Anthony 1/17/23 spoke to **** at ###-###-####; Stone Mor; will have someone reach me by phone or email 1/24/23 - spoke to ******* ******* is GM for 6 locations ******’s will send urgent email for him to review contract and call me back; suggested give him til Friday to return call 2/1/23- tt ****** will look info and try to give callback today 2/1 /23- spoke to ***** at ###-###-#### from Stone Mor, will escalate call; 3 business days for callback 2022 - 2023 Payments: Dec $500 and $700 Jan $200 Feb $1000 March $1095 April $860 Total payments $4355

      I purchased a burial mark July 9, 2012 and was paid in full June 18, 2013. My husband passed away January 8, 2022 and his marker has still not been placed down at the grave site. I have placed numerous phone calls and have been by there many times and as of January 20, 2023 the marker is still not down. At this point in time they will no longer return my phone calls. I have all my paperwork showing that I purchased the marker and that it was paid in full with a letter from ******** Memorial Garderns thanking me for the payoff of my account.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Dear ******************, 

      I filed my original compliant against ******** Memorial Gardens on 1/20/2023 not 2/2/2023. At the time my compliant was filed my husbands marker had not been put down on his gravesite. My husband passed away on 1/8/2022. I made many attempts with ******** Memorial Gardens to get them to put down the marker on my husbands gravesite to no avail. They eventually stopped returning my calls.

      On the date of 1/27/2023 that you mentioned in your letter I was not at the cemetery. I had not been by the cemetery since December because of all the rain we have been having in the area. I was afraid of falling because my husbands plot is on a hill. The person they saw that day happens to be a dear friend of mine who lost her son on 1/27/2022. And she was over there visiting her son on the one-year anniversary of his death. She is the one that actually told me they were in the process of putting down my husbands marker while she was over there visiting with her son. ******** Memorial Gardens has yet to call me to tell me that they have finally installed the marker.

      Finally I would like to add if you go back and look at my original compliant you will see that I paid for this marker many, many years ago and it should not have taken 1 year and 19 days and 2 complaints for outside agencies to ******** Memorial Gardens to put down my husbands marker. My question to you is how many other people are having to go through the same ordeal I have had to go through just to get something done that I already paid for.

      I'm glad they finally put the marker down, but they should still be held accountable for not doing their jobs.

      My family and I are attempting to make final plans for my funeral. Recently, it has been discovered that cemetery plots, purchased from ******** Memorial Gardens in June of 1961, have been sold. While there appears to be information in a folder including who the buyers were ( as per the receptionist, *****), we are seeking information as to who may have authorized the sale of these plots. Who authorized this sale? Numerous letters and phone calls to *********************** (representative from ******** Memorial Gardens) since September, 2022 to the present have NOT been addressed. We are asking that the company produce a legal document with the signature of the person who authorized this sale, as no one in the family has any recollection or paperwork of such a transaction.
