We have purchased several homes from Icon. The last home, delivered on 1/19/22 has issues. When the 3rd party transportation driver arrived with the 1st floor on its trailer, it had 3 flat tires the home was hanging inches from the ground and black tar was all over the bottom of the home. There was racking of the home during transportation due to the tires being flat, and as a result had many big cracks, not typical of the minor cracks that are existing when the home is delivered. Compensation for the drywall was given but will not cover the entire costs. I requested that someone come do a walk thru or fix the problems on site instead of using my subs, but Icon stated that it would take a long time to get a contractor of theirs to come out. Our electrician started final electric and there is a missing outlet, needs to be there per code, (we later found the wires buried in the sheetrock and we would have had live energized wires in the home and the electric would not have worked properly when it went live had we not opened the walls) outlets and switches are all at different heights throughout the house, and the vanity light outlet box is inches from the ceiling. The powder room toilet was not even roughed for drain or water and there was no flange on site, still no resolution and remains open due to a constant debate. We have requested a site walk thru, but Icon states its not their policy. I need an Icon representative to come and take a look at these issues. While I understand protocol is to submit the issue with pictures, that does not work for me anymore and Icon said that they would visit the home, now Icon is saying they won’t come to the home because discussions get too heated. There are 10 extra sq., (5) boxes, of siding on site that ***** ******** was billed and needs to be resolved as well. Paperwork, pictures are available if needed to come to a resolution.
