We received a quote from this company on 3-7-25 for a new roof. The salesman, ****, advised he needed to write up the quote and get an anticipated start date to lock in the quoted price. Since this is contingent on obtaining a loan from our local bank, and we had other quotes from other contractors that needed to be received and reviewed we can let them know in the coming weeks if we were going to move forward with them. **** said that was perfectly fine, just let him or the office know when we made a decision, should we choose to go with American Remodeling Enterprises *** we will sign more paperwork and make a deposit to get the project started. My husband reached out to American Remodeling Enterprises *** this past Friday, 3-21-25 to inform them we would not be moving forward. After 4 phone calls not being able to talk to someone we received a text stating that youre outside your cancellation window and canceling now will result in substantial penalties. Please advise so we can inform our legal time on how to proceed. I immediately called the local office, got routed to a call center and was advised Id receive a call within a couple hours. At this moment I have not received a phone call back, and think this is quite a shady business practice to use scare tactics and force someone to move forward with a company when they did not sign a start work contract, make a deposit, or obtain permits for a company to begin a project.

Hello, my name is ******* ***** and I'm the manager with Epoxy Floor Experts. Mr. ***** signed a contract with us on 10/10/24 and on 12/17/24 Mr. ***** called our office to cancel his job, when our receptionist asked him to hold to get the person for him to speak to about his cancellations fees, he hung up. We trying to reach back out with no answer. On 12/17/24 I wrote a letter and sent it certified to Mr. ***** about his cancelation fees due to canceling out of the 3-day period. Mr. ***** did reach out to *** our VP and told him that he didn't sign a contract. I believe after the letter was received Mr. ***** called our office again on 12/23/24 and I spoke to him directly and he said he only signed a quote and I explained that he indeed did sign a contract. He went on to say that they are elderly and that their daughter was present and I explained that what he signed was and is a contract. He said that we would hear from his attorney and he hung up. On 12/30/24 an attorneyJosh ***** called to speak about the situation and I let him know that I would have our VP reach out to him to discuss the matter. Our VP reached out the same day and spoke to attorney **** ***** and he told our VP he is the nephew of Mr. ***** and would not say who he was an attorney with or where and he also stated that his uncle didn't sign a contract. I have attached the full contract with this reply. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

      Thank you,

February, 2023, I had my newly purchased homes siding redone by American Remodeling. After the work was completed, in a quick 2.5 days, they received payment in full, of $48,000. I had done a walk around the house. Instantly, I noticed there were multiple places of the siding installed incorrectly. Today, over a year later there are still pieces of siding that is falling off. There is still no backing behind the kickplate. The siding is lapped in different directions on the same side of the home. The trim around the windows were cut very sloppy and only applied caulking on the sections of the window that the workers were able to reach and nothing on the remainder. Where each of the siding meets together, there is not a single piece that seams together smoothly. Every piece that meets together has a dent going back and is very noticeable and very unappealing. I have been in contact with a gentleman named **** **** more times than I should be. **** has sent contractors and employees back to my house seven times, to come and fix the many mistakes and nothing still has been resolved. This is not a business I would recommend, but rather recommend avoiding at all costs. I purchased my home in thoughts to make it our home, and our time, money and efforts have been spent focusing on getting our siding completed properly and in a timely manner as these issues have been on-going too long. American Remodeling needs to make it right, and needs to correct the issues at hand. $40,000 might be cheap change to American Remodeling, but its not to me. This needs resolved, or it will be a civil suite filed.

November 2021 I had a new roof put on for $15,000. The salesman that gave me to quote told me 0% financing. I asked several times to make sure. The loan I received did in fact have interest but I couldn't get out of the contract. The work was poorly done. It leaked within the first 2 months of being put on, which they did come fix. The shingles were wavy, my second chimney has no flashing, the front downspout comes down and drains straight down - not angles out and floods my front yard, and the back downspout drains right on top of my septic tank and flooded my drain field. The workers only started to pick up debris from my yard after they saw me out there picking it up. **************** is horrible. I have been in contact several times and nothing has been done.

I am writing this review to share my extremely negative experience with American Remodeling Enterprises . My initial impression of this company, based on their online reviews, was positive, but my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.I reached out to them for a quote to replace the roof on my commercial building, and they provided me with a quote of $110,000. However, things took a turn for the worse when they sent me a contract with a clause stating that there might be additional charges if unforeseen issues arose during the installation process. Before signing the contract, I had a conversation with a gentleman named *************************, who assured me that any additional charges would be minimal, perhaps around $5,000 at most. We agreed that if any unexpected costs arose, they would need my approval before proceeding with the work. To ensure transparency, we even had their team visit the site to inspect the roof before finalizing everything to avoid any surprises. Once we signed the contract and paid a $33,000 deposit to kickstart the project, we received an email from ****** stating that they had just realized the need to remove a significant amount of roofing material and would have to charge an additional $95,000. This sudden and exorbitant increase in the cost made no sense whatsoever. In response, we immediately asked them not to start any work and requested a halt to the project. At this point, no work had been done on our roof. We had already found another reputable roofing company that offered both a better price and better quality for the job, totaling only $100,000, including the additional work required for insulation removal. Shockingly, American Remodeling Enterprises refused to return our deposit, claiming that we had breached the contract. This is utterly absurd! They effectively raised the price to almost double the original quote, and they were unwilling to stop the project even before commencing any actual work. My experience with American Remodeling Enterprises has been frustrating, disappointing, and financially damaging. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to stay far away from this company. Their lack of integrity, professionalism, and their unscrupulous business practices are reasons enough to avoid them at all costs.

05/19/2023 we’ve signed a contract with American Remodeling Enterprises Inc. (hereinafter “the Company”) Subject of the contract was - 6 windows replacement in our house Anticipated start date was 7/25/2023 Until 7/25/2023 the Company did not notify us of any start day change Despite the fact that we contacted the Company VP 10 days before the start date and got “all good” from him) NObody came out to install windows for us anticipated date nor after that To be clear- NO WORK HAS BEEN COMPLETED 7/28/2023 (3 days after anticipated end date) the Company contacted us asking to choose different window options as windows specified in our contract “are not available anymore”. Which proves that windows were NOT EVEN ORDERED from a manufacturer. At that moment we notified the Company that we consider the contract failed by the Company and are not going to sign another contract with them, but we expect the full refund of our down payment The Company representative confirmed that with the Company VP over the phone in our presence and told us refund will take 5-10 business days While he was on the phone I heard their VP commenting on our refund request “anyway we did not do anything” On 9th business day we reminded the Company VP about deadline As of now, 8/15/23 5 PM, 12 business days after our request, we still did not get our money back American Remodeling Enterprises Inc needs to be held accountable for their actions and needs to be reminded how to communicate with their customers

Company uses high pressure sales tactics to get you to sign a contract. They then give you 3 days to cancel the contract. But full terms of the agreement were not disclosed until two weeks later. I was led to believe that the contract I signed was the total cost of the job. Which was $9000. Two weeks later I receive an email that financing is going to cost an additional $8,000. I tried to cancel the contract and now the company is saying they will only cancel if I pay $4000. this is deception, giving 3 days to cancel when the customer doesn't find out the Total cost until weeks later.

      In response to your complaint,

American Remodeling does not control interest rates, they rates are based upon your credit worthiness and set by the lending institutions.    The loan is just like any other credit card, installment loan, etc in which interest is applied.   Furthermore, the interest payments made on your installment loan are not paid to American Remodeling they are paid to the bank/lender and we do not in any way see any of the interest that you pay.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Regards, I know the company doesn't control interest rates. My issue is that the company misled me about the terms of the loan. Then when I didn't agree to the loan they would not let me out of my contract. The company gives 3 days to get out of the contract. They put this clause knowing full well it takes longer than 3 days to get a loan offer. I didn't get a loan offer until 20 days after signing the contract. This is a misleading sales tactic.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Regards, I did not agree to the terms of the loan. Those terms were not what I asked for. They were what I was offered. I rejected those terms and the company still insists on enforcing the contract. I should have a right as a customer to reject the terms of a loan without facing a penalty. The company should be more forth right about their loan application process. Enforcing a 3 day clause of ression while they know a loan offer will take longer than that.

We had our roof completely removed and replaced May 19th, 2022. There were several issues at the beginning that were resolved. On November 5, 2022, I contacted American Remodeling to report that the rubber roof was bubbling and the shingles were lifting. I sent them the same pictures that I have attached for you. As you can see from the attachments of messenger and my call log, I made numerous attempts and tried to remain civil. I was told in my last phone conversation with ****** that they would need the temperature to be above 50 degrees for a full week before they could complete repairs. It is now the end of June and I have not heard from anyone. I attempted to contact someone for a date that it would be scheduled but did not get a reply. We had also tried to contact the salesman that sold us the project. We are requesting that the rubber roof be completely redone and the shingles secured before any leaks begin or a refund in the amount of the estimated cost to complete the work with another contractor ($8k).

I am rejecting this response because:

They have already sent someone to our residence and checked the roof back in November when I first complained. No one was home to speak with them or verify they were here. The timeline of a week or two is very vague and that is to look at it. We have waited long enough for this to be resolved and have been more than patient. I will accept when the repair is scheduled to be completed on a specific date.
