Totally poor customer service. Will not take responsiblity for producing a defective product. *** We purchased three mahogony doors for our property on ** ***** ****. The arrangement was to have them shipped in September 2022 to arrive in time for installation in Oct 2022. The company was late on delivery, then when they sent them to our shipping company they got lost for several weeks. Once they were again found and shipped back to their company, they refused our request to inspect these doors in person and only offered to charge us to reopen the crate, or send them to my elderly parents home in PA (this would have resulted in at least another $500 shipping cost for us to incur). They then reshipped the doors to ** **** in November 2022. Once we received them it was noted that all three had a defective finish on the louvers (rough to the touch - looks like they put the finish over dirt). We have had two companies inspect these doors and have provided estimates between $1,600 - $1,650 to refinish them (up to four days of work to sand individual louvers multiple times and apply a new finish). We have requested that the company provide us $1,650 to cover the cost of the repair and have also stated that if the repair is lower, that we would refund them the difference. Estate Millwork is only offering us $425.96 towards this cost and has also infered in an email that if we go to small claims court, that they will not abide by the judgement if we win in court. Totally dishonest company. Note added: the $1.650 does not include expenses related to lost rental income or our travel costs to oversee this repair. Desired Resolution: Send us three new doors at no charge including shipping and $450 to cover the cost of installation or provide a $1,650 refund to cover the cost of the repairs. These doors should have been in perfect condition and ready to hang. We have pictures if you want to see the finish. My husband is an *** ***** ******* and a **** ******** employee.
