My name is Miguel G. My 1 star is generous for sure! After getting a quote from the owner, which turned out to be too high for the quality of work performed by the main worker and his 2 assistants. I had a partial bathroom repair, a ceiling fan installed in the living room, and a soundproof wall in my bedroom. I paid more than $7,000 for the three projects. The owner did inspect the work thoroughly and was more concerned about the bill being paid. The mistakes or botch-ups are multiple and ugly. I deserve a partial refund. Work was completed in January of 2021, if I remember correctly. It was so unfair to do this to a disabled person, and during a pandemic.

I would like to start out by saying that this review is based off of work performed 7 months ago by a sub contractor who performs work for me that I trust very much. Since the Pandemic started in March 2020 (shut downs) FCHR has went from 7 in house employees at that time to 2 in January 2021 when this work was performed. I now have 4. At the start of the project everything was communicated through me pretty much daily. Miguel had zero issues throughout any part of the project. Because I am very big on communication I phoned Miguel to let him know the guys would be a little late getting to the project on the start date ( just under an hour) because the supply house that I purchased the quiet sheetrock from delayed them but I felt it was important to let Miguel know what was going on. This was a situation I could not control but did my best to let him know. This was completely unacceptable to Miguel who started screaming on the phone to which was very shocking to me because I normally do not experience this at all with clients. Miguel said forget it!! Don't bother coming!! I did my best to calm him down and after that happened his reply was "I now have to go because I need to phone my therapist' This behavior should've been a sign to walk away but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and did my best to stay on top of everything making sure he was happy. Throughout the project Miguel said things like "Im so happy I met you guys you have no idea how hard it is to find good contractors" which I get a lot and totally understand. Every part of the project was approved by Miguel before we proceeded to the next step. Once the project was complete again nothing but praise and thank you from Miguel who even said he was going to share my business cards with all of his neighbors in the condo building. You can imagine my surprise when reading his review 7 months later. Miguel has never contacted me to express how unhappy he was/is and never gave me any opportunity to correct anything he was unhappy with. In the age of Text, Email, Phone, Social media accounts, website contact. Why? I would've been more than happy to address all of his concerns had he given me that opportunity instead of being blind sided by this review. FCHR has won the super service award in just about every category for 8 straight years on Angies list. This review is filled with inaccuracies and I hope people can draw their own conclusions based on how vindictive and drawn out this review is. I should add that Miguel posted a review a couple weeks prior here to which he has since removed.
