BB Plumbing is not a reputable company. In my experience, they charge exorbitant prices for minimal work performed. Recently, they were at my home to assess a frozen pipe. During the initial service call a standard $85 fee was charged for assessment. Fair enough. An appointment was set for the next week to complete repairs. Arrangements were also made to add on a kitchen hose replacement (for which I already had the part). When it came time to do the repair work for the frozen (and subsequently cracked) water pipe, BB Plumbing could not complete the repair. The plumber stated he could not find the cracked pipe (he had located it the week before), then stated it was impossible to reach, and finally fixed just the kitchen faucet hose. During the entire process he was entirely unprofessional - complaining about the job in its entirety and then the brand of faucet. For what turned out to be a 15-minute repair (mind you, I had the part), I was charged exorbitantly - over $200. Beware of this business.

This review was written by T. R. We did not see her nor speak with her while we were at the house. We met P. R. She was the person we talked to about scheduling and what we found when we diagnosed the problem. On January 17, 2024, P. R. called us saying she had frozen pipes. She wanted us to come and shut off the water to the addition on her house, so the pipes wouldn’t leak. She had turned the water off to the whole house. When the contractor built the addition to her house, they didn’t insulate it correctly. I explained to P. R. that we only had time to shut off the water to the addition, but not repair the leak. I also explained that since the temperature was not going to be above freezing (plus the high winds) it would be best to wait until it warms up outside. Then we could see if more pipes had frozen and broken. The plumber went out to her house that same morning and shut off the water to her addition. He restored the water to the rest of her house. He told her she needed to remove a board to make access to the pipes. Since he didn’t have time to diagnose thoroughly, he quickly saw that one board had to be removed and one pipe (at that time) was cracked. We charged her $85.00 for that service call. I called P. R. on January 19th to schedule an appointment to go back to her house to repair the broken pipe(s). We made the appointment for January 23rd since the temperature was now going to be above freezing without the high winds. On January 22nd, P. R. called us to see if we would have enough time to install the hose for her kitchen faucet (she had the hose). I told her we would have time. On January 23rd, when we returned to her house, the plumber now had time to diagnose the scope of work thoroughly. He then found that she needed to move a cabinet and ductwork out of the way so we could access the broken water pipes in the wall. We are plumbers only and cannot move ductwork. We charged her $232.50 less a senior discount of $23.25 for a total of $209.25 to diagnose the job plus install her hose to the kitchen faucet. We do not give free estimates for repairs. Furthermore, we have expenses such as gas, labor, insurance, etc. The next day, P. R. called and complained about what we charged her. We offered her a $100.00 credit towards her next invoice if she would allow us to come back to replace the broken pipes. She declined our offer.

B.B. Plumbing did not request removal of a cabinet. After our terrible experience with B.B. Plumbing, we contacted another contractor who repaired the broken water pipes easily, installed insulation (which B.B. had stated could not be done), and re-routed piping to a warmer location to prevent future freezing. No ductwork or cabinet required removal in order to complete this repair.
