During the summer of 2020, Cider Mill Landscapes was contracted to redo a flagstone patio. A price for the work was agreed upon and the patio work was conducted by the contractor in summer of 2020. By September 2020 a majority of the work, mostly the sand used to position the flagstone became loose and dislodged from the patio and some stones become loose when stepping on. The work did not hold up. We attempted to contact, via phone the individual, ******** from Cider Mill who provided us the work quote and who we dealt with concerning the job. ******* never returned any of our calls during the fall of 2020. Several calls were made during the fall of 2020 and each attempt was met with no success. Given the time of year, late fall, and current situation occurring with the COVID pandemic, we held off further attempts to contact Cider Mill as winter season was approaching. Spring of 2021, we attempted to reach out to the owner of the company, ***********************. An email was forwarded to ******************** in April 2021 regarding the matter and invited Cider Mill return to the residence/work site to survey the condition of the patio. Included with the email was pictures of the condition of the patio. In addition, a compromise settlement with ******************** was provided, a refund be returned for a portion of the work on the patio that did not withstand the short timeframe. ******************** did reply but did indicate that due to labor shortages he would circle back around to us regarding the matter. A response from myself was forwarded to ******************** to consider refunding us for the portion of the patio work that did not hold up. The job for the patio was $2250, we suggested Cider Mill refund us $1500. We have been patient, allowing ******************** to respond, haven't done any repair work to the patio as we don't want to disrupt the condition of the patio. We still await for any communication from ******************** that was again forwarded to his attention at the end of November 2021.
