I called to schedule an appointment for East Coast Comfort to come out and fix my air conditioner. When scheduling, no fee was mentioned. The woman did say that they wouldn't be able to do it if it weren't a certain temperature. She did not say what that temperature was.When the technician was on the way, he called to tell me it wasn't the right temperature. I suggested that we reschedule. He said he would come out anyway. No fee was mentioned.The guy came out, spent 5 minutes with the air conditioner, concluded that it was not warm enough to fix (which he already knew before he came), and told us we owed him $145.Business response

I apologize for the confusion. We do a lot of certifications and inspections on all types of HVAC systems and sometimes the conditions outside do not allow us to check specific components due to outside ambient conditions. When the temperatures are adequate and the system may need fine tuning on the refrigerant levels we return to adjust those levels to manufactures specifications and we would usually charge a $45.00 trip fee plus refrigerant. I will credit you for this call and there will be no charge. I ask that you give us a call in the Spring so we can check the refrigerant levels not just the mechanical components. Once again I apologize for the confusion.
