I am in receipt of a letter from *********** Finance dated 3/17/2023 in which it states that Allan Hornbeck Chevrolet sent *********** Finance an application on my behalf. Heres the significant problem. I didnt visit or solicit Allan Hornbeck Chevrolet. I didnt shop their website. Ive never been to their location. I dont even know where their location is! I didnt inquire with anyone about purchasing a vehicle. I didnt give them my information to seek credit approval and most significant, I didnt give them authorization to run my credit for approval for any auto loan. In written form tell me legally how and why I have to put up with this invasion and inquiry and how it violates no State or Federal law. In your response make a point of signifying that I have no right to control my information or credit making decisions. Make a point to tell me how Allan Hornbeck Chevrolet has the right to make decisions regarding my credit for me in place of me. This is abhorrent, not only does this impact my score it remains on my credit report.

I purchased a car on 1/28/2023. We were not able to take the car that day because it was not inspected. We were able to pick up the vehicle on the next day. We were told the car had been inspected and needed new tires which they had put on. We called them on 2/10/20203 to say the car had some smoke coming out of the exhaust when starting the vehicle. We were told we would get a callback. We finally heard back from them on 2/16/2023 and had an appointment on 2/22/2023 for them to look at the problem. We got snow on 2/22/2023 to see if we could bring the car the following day instead. They weren't able to take it until 2/24/2023. We were notified that it needed a new engine. We were told that it may or not be covered by warranty. It took two full weeks of calling Hornbeck and the warranty company to find the warranty would cover the cost of engine replacement. It took another week for the part to arrive. Horneck refused to give us a loaner vehicle. they stated warranty would pay $35 towards a rental per day. We expressed that we felt we should not be held responsible for any charge for the loaner since we were sold a car with a bad engine. Hornbeck disagreed. After a week of waiting for the part to arrive, they began work on 3/20/2023. We got a call that the catalytic converter was bad and also needed to be replaced. Again told it may or not be covered by warranty. We were notified it was but that we will have charges of $450.00. and we may get the car back next week. So we have owned the car for roughly 6 weeks and Hornbeck has had it about 4 of those weeks. They sold us a car with a bad engine and bad catalytic converter and are trying to charge us. We feel we should have been given a rental and not forced to borrow vehicles or pay over $2700 at this point for rental and we should not have any amount due. It is clear that we were sold a bad vehicle. A car isn't sold and inspected and has either let alone both of these parts go bad in less than two weeks.

Bought a used 2019 ****** ****** from them. When salesman showed us car he did mention that the emergency front crash warning system light was on but assured us it was Nothing to be concerned about and it just needed a reset, which he claimed they could not do, but when I called a local ****** dealer about the problem the mechanic laughed at me when I told him what the sales person said about warning system light being on not being a problem and the ****** dealership mechanic told me it can cause problems with braking system if its on and that the dealership car was bought from should of done the right thing and properly handled the issue prior to selling car to me. Hornbeck knew there was something wrong in emergency breaking system cause of warning light being on but lied to me about it and brushed off my concerns about it! Just a few days ago I was driving about 30-35mph down a 2 lane street headed home when suddenly my emergency braking system engaged itself and brought my car to a nearly immediate stop in the center of the road i was thrust forward even though i was wearing my seatbelt! Luckily there were no cars infront of or behind me at the time this happened and my kids were not in car! I was to scared to drive the car the rest of the way home so I called my husband to come help me. Ever since this I am deathly afraid to drive that car but often don't have a choice. I have reported this occurrence to the ***** and have also issued a complaint against ****** through the BBB. I will post about this anywhere I can to warn people. This is an issue that is definately a safety issue, not only for those in the car having issue but for other drivers as well! Light I mentioned previously is below in pic.

      Good Afternoon,

I am responding to the complaint that was made by *********************************** regarding a 2019 ****** ****** that she purchased from us this past July 2022.  I am attaching copies of the repairs that we did on this vehicle as none of these bring to our attention the issue of an emergency front  crash warning system light being on.  Please review attached copies and let me know if there is anything further I can assist with!

I am rejecting this response because: in the service contract it says I'm a cancel at any time and it would cost me $50 it said nothing about the car being totaled or repossessed I sold the car therefore I'm trying to get some of my money out of my warranty back furthermore there was no email sent on behalf of hornbeck Chevrolet.

I bought a new car from them 1 year ago. Im finding all kinds of things wrong with it it only had 3,000 miles on it when i bought it was informed it was in a little accident come to find out the whole side of the car was wrecked was not in the ******. Now it is already rusting the tailgate leaks thats causing the headliner in the car to fall down im worried about a mold issue. The drivers door on the car is not the right door to the car. I took it in to see if anything is covered and they are telling me nothing is covered. They shouldnt be allowed to sell a car without the tight information or by lieing to the potential buyer. I paid $30,000.00 cash for this car and feel I was not treated fairly and lied to. I would like for them to fix the car the way it shouldve been before it was sold.

i purchased a vehicle on 6/14/22. First thing was, after i signed the paperwork and was about to get in the car, I noticed a part of front bumper was loose and asked about it and was told it was in a little fender bender. I said well can this be fixed and was told to set up an appt. Then, when i got home, I realized the key Fob didn't work, so my car stayed unlocked all night. Next morning I went to get in car and it didn't start. i called and was told to bring the car that didn't start into the dealership. After fussing that I had no way to get it there, they sent someone out to change the battery and it started, and I was told that FOB would work once new battery was put in, but it didn't, I was then told to take it to an ******** and have the battery replaced. I did that and it still did not work. However, they guy at ******** showed me how to take key out of FOB to lock doors. However, i am disabled and its hard for me to do that. They claimed it may need calibrated by dealership. I called them back and they said they could do it. The very next day, i came out to car and again, it did not start! Day 2 of having vehicle, it didn't start again! I called and complained and after being threatened by Mr. C**** to take down a review that my family member put up on their site, that i had no knowledge of, or they wasn't going to help me at all, after i purchased a warranty, I had to ask my family to remove the review for now. They finally brought me loaner and had my car towed in for service. So now, they call me to bring my car back to me but still have not fixed everything and I am being told I have to take it to a ***** Dealer to have the Fob fixed. At this point, I feel the car has to many problems and everytime I mention I don't want the car and just return my money, I get well we can't do that, when I know they can, because the finance company said they could. I went to them, because the engine fell out of my old car and I told them I was disabled and needed

      *******,
We fixed the vehicle per ****************, and accommodated her in a very professional manner from our side.We offered a loaner vehicle which in today's times as you are probably fully aware of, due to lack of inventory, and as we were driving the vehicle to her, there was a negative review that was put online, but we have done everything from the beginning to help her with her purchase of a pre-owned vehcile. I hope this helps.

We purchased our 2017 ******** ******** from Allen hornbeck Chevrolet in July of 2021 with approximately 70,000 miles and the claim of one previous owner. By December of 2021 our vehicle started to have issues and our check engine light came on, hornbeck Chevrolet was contacted by us regarding the issue and the car was brought in for maintenance. By the time the car was seen the check engine light had gone off and there “was nothing they could do”. In January the light came back on and the earliest they could get us in to service was early February. Before our car got seen by the device department our engine began to overheat. We called hornbeck Chevrolet again and we’re see on original appointment date in early February. The service department told us the problem was an oil adapter and that that part was covered under our warranty and it would be ordered and fixed (the first of many things that didn’t happen). A week later our van was sitting in the parking lot at my boyfriends job over night (he works nights) and when he came out in the morning the vehicle wouldn’t start. Hornbeck was called and they told us to get our vehicle towed to them and they would look over it, we did. They had our car for 3 weeks and all they fixed was a 500 amp fuse, called us and said our car was fixed and to come get it, we did. 17 hours after picking our car up the same issue occurred again and once again the car had to be towed to hornbeck. This time I demanded a rental car since our van is our only method of transportation. They obliged eventually. They requested we provide proof of oil changes and regular maintenance on our car since purchasing it and we did. They then told us our engine had seized and they had to see if it would be covered under warranty. Mid April they call us and tell us the vehicle wasn’t covered under warranty and they wouldn’t be fixing our car that we needed to get it towed elsewhere. Please contact me for the rest it won’t fit in word count. ###-###-####

      *** *******,

We tried to accommodate *** ******* to the best of our ability, by giving her a loaner car while her vehicle was in our shop. She was also only charged for the part cost for the fuse box replacement, we waived all labor costs.
We were very honest with her and just told her what the warranty company requested and stated; unfortunately the repairs needed to fix the vehicle were not a covered part under the warranty contract. Therefore *** ******* was quoted a price for the repairs.
*** ******* was also contacted a few times that the loaner would need to be returned if they decided not to go forward with the repairs, and, after multiple attempts and no loaner returned, we then told them it would be reported stolen if not returned by a designated time.
We will not be paying for the repairs nor will we be giving the customer any type of refund.

Thank you, and please feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

I had service done at the Hornbeck Chevy on November 26, 2021 I was to have a wheel alignment and transmission flush and fill, and check my heated seats. I arrived and repeated what I requested done, it was even repeated to me by **** the woman who checked me in and took my keys. I wait 3 hours and paid for the work, I then immediately see that they did the wrong work that I requested. I call and speak with **** and he called me a liar and I then told him that I am not a liar and have proof of what was said even when I scheduled the service. My car was given an alleged alignment and coolant flush which is not what I wanted. I then again called and was told the Gm would call me back that never did happen. My car was not done I believe that they did not work, as my alignment is the same and there was no coolant in my car which could of blown my engine. I wrote a letter to the GM on November 27, 2021. I received no response.
