They are not worth even one star. I bought a phone Cord for my phone with the help of ******** ($30.00 about) My phone blew up in less than 6 months. I am a disabled person trying to just get some help and all they did was laugh at me. I got them to listen after several attempts, and I sent the pictures. Then they had the nerve to tell me it could have been the plug in the wall. I have not changed any of my practices, as I like my things organized and repeated. On 1 call the man "***" said "***********************" and then hung up. I have made several attempts to get them to help me with my phone, due to their cord destroying my phone. They will not take any responsibility for anything. They said they would send me another cord. What do I need with a cord if my phone is not working? Also, why would I accept a new cord, it could destroy the phone I am using temp. They should have to pay $140.00 at least for the damage they caused or more. This would have allowed me to get a new phone (replacement or something). I would be able to keep my phone number as well. I do a lot of volunteer work and ****** know and use my old number. All of this has been a hot mess. I will not buy anything from then again. I plan also to go an FB and post my there.Review from STELLA C

Horrible customer service. I purchase this for a phone of mine. I went through the app because you have no choice. I didn't realize that I had to be on the phone that it was warrantying till half way through. It wouldn't let me back out. I finished the registration and immediately tried to call them/email them. They did nothing, but tell me to purchase it again with a coupon. Even if I did it with the right phone, they said my warranty would have been invalid because I took a picture wrong at the end. The instruction are unclear and I think they do it on purpose so that they don't have to follow through with the warranty.Kane & McHenry Enterprises LLC Response

Hello,I am very sorry about your claim, however, the instructions in the app are clear to take a photo of the front screen of the device so we can ensure there is no damage to the screen (you uploaded and approved a selfie-type photo). The app turns on the front-facing camera and instructs you to hold the phone in front of a mirror and verify the screen is clearly visible to take the photo. You are also shown and asked to confirm that you have submitted a clear image of the front screen of the phone and can not proceed until confirmed. These instructions need to be followed in order to have a valid registration. Unfortunately, as the registration was not completed correctly, the denial is valid.Review from Michael W.

I bought the Alpine series X phone case in 2020 from a local repair shop and the advertised *$300 phone repair guarantee* on the box and website sounded nice so I bought the case and registered my device. After 4 months of use, the case failed to protect against a light drop from waist height and I ended up with a cracked screen. I called the number in the registration application and it did nothing but tell me to go to the website. Between the long hours of the military it took me a while to remember to go their website and file a claim, and I just lived with a mildly cracked screen. Eventually I filed a claim on their website, and it led me to a company called Asfalis. I started contacting Asfalis and provided the information that they asked for, but they stopped responding and I again just forgot about the issue because this was just becoming too much of a hassle. Eventually in 2022 the crack on my screen became worse and I decided to check up on what happened with Asfalis. Long story short they said they "never received" the requested information. For some reason they stopped seeing the replies in my emails and could only see replies on the ticket on their website that I had no idea existed. They told me that I was contacting the wrong people and to go back to cell helmet.Went to the cell helmet website, clicked the link to file a claim, and the link is dead. Contacted cell helmet in the chat and explained to them the situation and that's when they revealed that the advertised *$300 phone repair guarantee* only covers a year. I trusted this company's product that failed me and I made the mistake of not reading the fine print of the guarantee.tl;dr -the case *****, got a cracked screen from a waist high fall -3 different links to file a claim with one of them being broken -$300 phone repair guarantee should be reworded to "1 year $300 phone repair LIMITED warranty." Very blatant and scummy false advertising that preys on customers not reading the fine printReview from Chelsea W

Cell Helmet is refusing to honor my repair guarantee warranty because its two weeks out of the 1 year warranty. Their customer service is terrible and they will do anything they can to get out of reimbursing you for the repairs. Do not buy anything from them.Review from Dale M

My Cell Helmet warranty expired on May 12, 2021. My screen broke and I paid for repairs on April 25th 2021. I submitted my claim with a cc of the receipt indicating the April 25th date on May 14, 2021. The claim was denied saying the warranty period was over when I had proof of repairs prior to the expiration. Nothing in their description of the warranty terms (at least they could not show me any such language) does it say that the claim has to be incurred within the warranty period, nor did the dealer who applied the liquid galas to my iPad and sold me on it. It makes sense that I need to be able to prove the damages took place within the year, but they gave no indication in any of their representation or did the dealer state anything other than there is a one year warranty. I admit, i never asked, but did not see any reason to. To deny a claim submitted 2 days after the expiration of the warranty with proof that the claim occurred prior to its expiration is clear to me that they are dealing in good faith. I would assume it is also not legal, but I guess they get away with this since the amount is only $300. Imagine how this would be handled if the claim was 100,000. Seems to me it is like an insurance company turning down a fire damage claim that is incurred a couple of weeks before the policy expiration, reported to the agent (in this case the dealer, and receipts sent to the insurance company 2 days after the policy was terminated.
