T&C Movers is attempting to collect $2800 provided on the estimate. My belongings were loaded into the truck on October 6, 2022, but were not delivered to me until November 9, 2022. No where did they state delivery would be in 5 weeks. I will not pay the full amount as my belongings were not delivered in a reasonable amount of time. Everything was held hostage until they had other deliveries in the area which was never told to me.Business response

Town & Country provided a written estimate to ************** that covered her move from Pennsylvania to South Carolina. The estimate provided a note stating that if the job required an additional truck, the cost to deliver the second truck would be $2800. The goods were loaded on October 6, 2022. Town & Country filled a full straight truck, and there was some overflow of non-essential items that were loaded into a second truck. The first full truck was delivered on October 7, 2022. *************** was told that we would have to schedule a time to deliver the second truck. It was communicated to her that the best date that we could provide for the second delivery was November 9, 2022. We made the arrangement and delivered on November 9. Payment was not made by ************** at this time, and she advised that we were not allowed to charge her card, as she was filing a complaint. The owner of Town & Country, *****, called *************** to discuss. It was agreed that Town & Country would reduce the amount owed by $150, for the inconvenience of the delay. *************** advised that she would be mailing a check that afternoon, agreeing to the amount of $2650 in full and final settlement of her move. Town & Country has not received this check yet, but expects it this week. Once the check is received, Town & Country considers this case closed and fully resolved.Initial Complaint

Choosing this company was the worst decision we made this past year. Every single room in our home has furniture that was damaged. Mostly small dings or dents on furniture that we don't mind replacing. However, we did purchase full value replacement insurance. In an effort to not cause a huge issue, we only contacted them about two items, our 65” ******* living room TV, and our $1,627 entertainment center. Our TV is dented at the top and effects the top half of the screen, and our entertainment has large shards of wood missing. We just received a letter stating, that due to depreciation, they own us $0. We are responsible for replacing our TV, entertainment center, along without dining room furniture and everything else they ruined. This company has been nothing short of a nightmare. If you're considering them, PLEASE just consider throwing your furniture away & start fresh!!!Business response

A settlement was reached with **************** on January 25, 2022. Part of the settlement included a mutual agreement that no further complaints would be made, and no negative reviews would be posted. Can you advise when this complaint was received?
