Ambetter is extremely incompetent in many areas. They're unable to provide simple forms, they refuse to send forms and make you print them out yourself. Ambetter also has very limited technology, forcing members to deal with woefully inadequate customer service staff, and even snail mail due to their lack of computer software that would enable E signatures. As for my latest personal experience, when requesting CPT code pricing for our plan, I was told we would need an authorization form since I was calling about my husband. We printed the form and mailed it, because that was the only option. We waited 3 weeks and they still didn't have it on file. When I asked for management, they let me hold for 43 minutes before coming back on and still not providing a manager to speak with, they then HUNG UP on me when I asked why I had to call back a 3rd time(they stated that they wouldn't give me the email address until the very moment that I could email the authorization form...that I had to reprint myself)! Absolute incompetent workers and zero customer service. Run, don't walk, to the next insurer!!
