Awful, awful company. Awful customer service, awful ethics, awful people. Stay away!!!! Been dealing with major financial headaches from this company for 5 years, with no resolution. We continue to be ignored and put off. All issues stem from their horrible techs who installed the wrong unit on our home and then refused to repair or replace. We have had 38 issues opened up with their customer service and now are being told we got "had" by their tech who knew he was selling us a bad unit, and just wanted his commission! Their solution, spend $20K to make it right. UNBELIEVABLE. Run away from this company as fast as you can.Review from DENNIS F

I want to say that the Gillece service technician, ************, was very efficient and knowledgeable. He snaked out my sewer drain within minutes and took the time to explain the reason for the clogged drain, and how to prevent the problem from happening again.Review from Mike Y

This company tried to charge me $520 to snake a bathroom clean out today. This company provided same service to me in 2013 for $97. They advertise this clog crusher service everywhere, however, it is only good on main line. Very deceptive!!!!!Review from James M

Do not trust this company, will lie to get you to finance for something you do not need done. All that was needed was to snake the drain to unclogged it, Called another plumbing company to take care of it. It was fixed within 30 minsReview from JR R

When searching & researching a contractor, if a company isn't BBB accredited, THAT should be your FIRST red flag -- When you go online & see nothing but negative reviews & bad experiences on top of bad reviews & negative experiences, then that is all you need to know. There are scores of horror stories about Gillece all over social media, & the PA AG is going after them as you read this -- How they are still in business is beyond comprehension! Locally, their reputation precedes them, so everyone is already well aware that they are a must to avoid -- .You have been warned!!! We gave them one star because you HAVE to choose at least a one star rating, but they should actually receive minus stars....Review from Kristy L

They did a “bandaid” fix on our electrical box (replaced and moved a breaker) until the actual work could be done and gave us a very large quote for the work. We had a gut feeling that something was wrong the longer our interaction was, and I’m so glad I checked in with other pros to confirm our suspicion. We just purchased this home about 1.5 years ago, and I contacted our original home inspector who called our quote “outrageous” and another electrical company we hired today said they couldn’t believe companies can function this way and get away with it (but that it explained their many active lawsuits). The fear tactic around this was that our electrical panel was going to cause a fire, without a doubt, if we didn’t upgrade in the immediate future. They gave us quotes and then left us alone while we talked it out. We ended up signing with them because we were upset and fearful due to both of us experiencing total losses of homes in the past due to fire, and the thought terrified us, of course. They quoted us almost $13,500.00 for a full electric panel, and to add a few outlets to the home where needed. After doing some google searches, we found out that the quote was very much off, which led me to calling around. We cancelled our plans with them immediately and another, more reputable, company quoted us for the same exact work at half the price. The new company also explained that because they did the bandaid fix, we are absolutely NOT at risk of fire, but that the box should be replaced soon. They played off our fears and lack of knowledge to get us to do the work with them, and they took advantage of us. I can not stress enough that you should not work with this company, they use your emotions against you and legitimately swindle you.Review from Carla M

Its been 8 years since they told me I needed a new furnace for $12,000. A other company fixed it for $300 and it is still running fine. They also noted in passing that my water heater, which was new and running fine, was missing a $1200 part, which it wasnt. They called and wanted a CC number to pay for the service call. I asked for an invoice and they said they dont do invoices and that the woman who called could send me a receipt from her home email after I gave my CC number. The tech, when I wouldnt give a CC number, told me a funny story about pranking someone he was mad at by taking a part out of their Ac during a heat wave. Beware!Review from Karen G

We called Gillece on June 22, 2023 for a clogged sewer line. They came to the house and told my husband they could not snake the line, he would have to use a hydrojet to clear it which cost $2000.00. He then put a camera in the line to show him it was cleared and said we had cracks and gaps in our line and it would need a liner. The cost of the liner would be $12000.00 if he signed a contract that day. If not the price would go up $1000.00. My husband signed the contract and we had three days to cancel. They wanted to come the n ext day to dig an area in the garage where the were going to put the liner in through, but we postponed the work so we could get someone else to look at it. The man that came out brought a liner expert that he knew and they ran a camera in the line and told me they could put a liner in but even if they only charged me $5000.00 they would be robbing me because my line was in really good shape and I did not need a liner. Needless to say I canceled the contract with Gillece. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! I still can't believe they would charge us thousands of dollars for something we did not even need. They should not be allowed to be in business and potentially do this to other people.Review from Bonnie W

I had a minor toilet block that I could not resolve just by plunging the toilet. I have a back to back plumbing system as it is a duplex. When the tech came I explained the situation and asked if he could just snake the system to clear the blockage. He said "no" and he said he couldn't snake the toilet either. He then said that part of the wall would have to be cut out and possibly tear out part of the kitchen cabinets that were below the bathroom. The cost would be $12,000 to $15,000.When I said I would have to think about it and decide what to do he said I didn't have a working sewage system and he would have to report it to the county. And that they could come in and condemn the property. He then said he could work the numbers and get things started. I told him to work the numbers as I wanted to know what the actual cost would be from them. With their financing the total cost would be $25,000. I told him no. I then set up an appointment with another plumber. ( ***************** Plumbing--who were great by the way.) They came and within the hour had the problem solved and everything cleaned up for a cost of $327.Review from Karen A

Called and asked about the $93 drain clean out. They happily scheduled me for the next day. Then I asked the customer representative what size cutters they use on their snakes or carry on their trucks. I was transferred to another rep. Who said they couldn’t answer the question. Then assured me the service tech would have the necessary tools. I said ok. They she filed me for tomorrow. Twenty minutes later another service manager called and said they couldn’t follow through with the appointment for three weeks because they have scheduling issues. Customer be where there was no scheduling issue the Pennsylvania Attorney General file suit in 2022 shut device down. The attorney general lawsuit alleged that they had a bait and switch operation. Did they come in tell you they can’t call your drain and then try to sell people on necessary repairs in the tens of thousands of dollars.. the lawsuit and reporting on it specifically said that they use a snake with a 1 inch cutter when most plumbers use 3 inch or larger cutters at the end of the snake.. I was willing to give them a chance because if they could not clear the clog, the service visit would be free. However, apparently when I asked about the snake cutter sizes, this was a tip off that I was on to their scam and they canceled the appointment.. CUSTOMER BEWARE SCAM google Attorney General lawsuit against Gillece.
