My daughter, ******************************* (a minor) was treated at the listed location of psychological reasons. While there, it was determined that she should have admitted care at another treatment facility. My wife and I spoke with the hospital staff and asked how she was getting to the other facility. When they explained by ambulance, we expressed that we would take her because we couldn't afford the ambulance bill. They related that they were required to take her. They outsourced the ambulance to another company that is not in my insurance's network and against my will. I am now stuck with a bill in my daughter's name for $1855.00. I expressed against the ambulance transportation and against the additional charge. The hospital chose to conduct a transport against my wishes or authorization and should be responsible for the charges incurred.Initial Complaint

I had to have surgery on january 14 2022. I was given an estimate of 11,988 and I had to pay half which I did on January 13 2022 of 6,000.00. When I first received my bill it was correct and I continued to make payments of 200.00 0n 1-21-22,1000.00 on 2-2-22 and another 1000,00 0n 2-14-22 and 1156.52 on 2-28-22. I then received a bill for 10,928.64. I called numerous times and talked to different people and they said that the initial 6000.00 was not taken off yet. I let it go till I received another bill for the same amount and called again and the girl I talked to said she would talk to her supervisor and get back to me cause she agreed with me that I didn't owe that much. After a few days they called me back and told me that the girl who did the estimate put the wrong code in for the surgery and it was more than what she told me. I told them that was their error not mine. I have paid since then another 84.00, 200.00 on 4-12-22, 228.64 on 5-3-22 and 200.00 on 5-19-22. I have sent them a letter explaining to them that it was their error and not mine and I would even pay half of the highest estimate which was 26,975. Half would be 13,365.50. They took the middle estimate and the low estimate was 17,629.00, I get 50% discount for not having insurance. My reference # is ******, My procedure was LAP,DIAGNOSTIC ABDOMEN. That is what is on my estimate. If I would subtract what I paid so far with the original estimate I would owe 2547.48. If I take the higher estimate I would owe them 3924.98 yet. They keep telling me I owe over 10,000 yet.
