      on Oct 16th I dropped my car off at woodburn carcraft. I informed them that I had a Diagnostics machine hooked up to it and it came back that it was a bad camshaft sensor. I informed **** that I had purchased an aftermarket warranty when I bought the vehicle I said I had spoke to my warranty company and they require Diagnostics be ran in order to know if they will pay to cover whatever the issue is. On that day he told me the Diagnostics would cost me $115 I gave him the phone number to my warranty company as well as my phone number and my husband's phone number. He was to run the Diagnostics find out what the problem was, then get a hold of my warranty company find out if it was something that they covered, and then notify my husband and I what was going on. I heard back from them on October 18th when I got a phone call from **** stating that my car had been fixed and that the repairs were nearly $400 he informed me at that time that it would probably be better if I just paid out of pocket because it would probably cost me less than if I had to pay my deductible through my warranty. I asked him if this was something that my warranty covered and he told me I don't know I never talked to them. On the 18th I contacted my warranty company they had not heard anything from the shop but did inform me that this was not something that is covered by my warranty. On October 24th which was the next business day I had off my husband and I went in to the shop at approximately 8:30 in the morning **** was not in but called later in the day. I offered to pay him $115 for the diagnostic he originally was supposed to run or I would pay him $52.42 for the part he purchased for my car as well as the $102.58 for the labor. I'm not trying to not pay the bill but I also I'm not trying to pay for work that I did not authorize him to do. I felt like offering to pay half the bill was more than fair but he was completely unwilling to compromise.
