I was called by the hospital prior to my scheduled induction. The hospital employee asked me to prepay for my services. I informed her that my insurance should cover my labor and delivery in full, as I picked the plan specifically for that reason. The hospital employee told me my insurance did not cover the services in full and that I would owe at least $1,500. She asked for a $150 good faith payment. I took her at her word and provided my credit card information. After my hospital stay, my insurance *** showed my insurance paid for my stay in full and I had no member responsibility. I have since called the hospital requesting a refund of the $150. They initially did not return my call. Today, I was able to contact them. They acknowledged my insurance company paid them but will not refund me the money that they erroneously took. I sent them the *** showing my responsibility is $0. They it will take a "really long time" for a refund, and I will have to call again in 2 weeksBusiness response

The concern was reviewed. Based on findings of this review we are refunding the $150 to the customer. A check and letter of apology will go out August 5th.
