Booked a trip with BigFoot for August ****, 2020, on her airbnb site. Purchased a 2-night stay for $408.54. I canceled due to threat of wildfire; rescheduled for September. I canceled in September due to unprecedented wildfire. Owner Nippolt said she would agree to reschedule for up to 1 year in lieu of reimbursement. Nippolt has not responded to my multiple good faith attempts to reschedule via telephone, email, website inquiry, or text message. I attempted these contacts between June 20, 2021, and July 6, 2021. Nippolt has since removed her listing from airbnb, and has not responded to texts or telephone calls at either ************, or ************-these were the contact numbers on the website for bigfoot-lodge.com and on the business's ******** page. Nippolt has not responded to my email inquiries via bigfoot-lodge.com or airbnb, I thus refuse Nippolt's reschedule offer, which is now impossible, and wish a refund for the full purchase amount of $408.54. To Whom it ********************************** you for the opportunity to respond to ***************************** complaint.
To be clear, ***************************** canceled her first reservation August 8-1 O, 2020. I granted the
cancelation and told her she was welcome to re-book. I only have 4 rooms and weekends are where I make my earnings. Despite my 3 other guests did not see reason to cancel 8/8-10/2020 and left outstanding reviews. (I am a super-host on airbnb) I lost $400. in revenue due to Michelle's cancelation last minute as I was unable to re-book her room.I kindly allowed ******** to re-book (as I clearly state no-refunds) and she agreed to rebook September 12&13, 2020. That weekend did prove to be very smokey due to fire situation in the Gorge and ******** cancelled her reservation. Again, I lost $400. in revenue due to her cancelation and again my other 3 rooms were booked even with the smoke and guests left all positive reviews. ******** at the time said she would re-book and I quote "ASAP".
As it turned out, ******** did not get back to me for 1 O months June 20, 2021. By that time, I have sold the property and it is no longer a BNB. I assumed ******** was no longer interested in coming for whatever reason because I had heard nothing about rescheduling. I have spent much time, money and resources trying to accommodate ******** in almost 2 years of dealing with her. At this late date there will be no refund.
