    Pattern of Complaint:

    On August 29, 2022, Better Business Bureau recognized a pattern of consumer complaints filed against NW Makeup & Hair regarding customer service and refunds. Consumers allege to have placed deposits or had paid in full for wedding hairstyle and makeup services. After the initial communication, consumers have had difficulty communicating with NW Makeup & Hair. Consumers allege that the business owner emailed them to apologize for not being able to fulfill their contracts, explained her current hardship, and informed them NW Makeup & Hair was going to be sold, but the sale ultimately failed, making her situation worse. Additionally, consumers claim that NW Makeup & Hair offered full refunds and explained it would take some time for them to come through. However, the business owner stopped responding a couple of weeks after the email regarding the possible refund was sent.

    On August 29, 2022, BBB submitted a written request to NW Makeup & Hair encouraging them to address the pattern of complaints. As of today, BBB has had no response.

      I paid a total of $1,137.50 for a deposit in 2020/2021 for hair and makeup for my wedding event in August 2022. I received a message along with numerous other brides in May 2022 that apparently ******* attempted to sell her business, but has been inconsistent with communication and payment transfers to the new owner so that new owner decided to hand the company back over to her. Moving forward, I was informed to request my refund with ******* directly. ******* messaged us brides shortly after apologizing, and sharing her personal story, and said she would refund our deposits so we can afford to book elsewhere. Since May 2022, I have no longer heard back from *******, and she has not responded to any of my emails, but I see her posting on social media. I would just like my refund since she did not complete her end of the contract.

      I placed a deposit for services in 2021 that got rescheduled to 2022 due to Covid. Ive been trying to contact this business via email, phone/text and IM on Instagram about scheduling and availability with no response back. Ive paid 2 deposits and have asked for a refund but I have not heard back from the business. Id like to be refunded. The lack of follow up and response is very unprofessional and quite frankly Id never have scheduled with them if I knew this let alone pay any money.

      I have signed a contract with NW Makeup and Hair owned by ******* and paid for services in full. The company reported ******* was taking over, confirmed wedding hair/makeup services via email with me, April 7th confirmed the last payment then May reported that she is giving the company back to ******* due to ******* not giving her the money that I have already paid for my services. ******* (who is the person who signed the contract with me at NW Makeup and Hair) reports that I have to repay and sign a new contract with her company (https://makeupbyshannel.com/) and attempt to contact ******* for a refund or confirmation of services. ******* has never been my contact for services, and since the email from ******* I have been unable to get in contact with *******. The phone number listed on the BBB website does not dial through, no contact information on their website outside of their email which I have emailed multiple times, and now the contact form on the website states to contact ***************** for hair/makeup services. The home email to ******* that ******* attached is ********************** Today, I reached out via social media as well to attempt to contact *******************************. We both signed a contact and I am asking for help to contact the owner/company to confirm services to uphold the contract or fully refund my order since they can not full fill the contract they signed and that I paid for almost $1400. All communication, contracts, and payments are listed in the email attachments. Please call for additional questions.

      I signed a contract with this company for hair and makeup services for my wedding that will take place on 8/27/2022. I signed the contract in June of 2021 and have already paid $2,200. Since 2022 started, I havent been receiving any communication from this company and I cant get them to confirm that they will honor the contract and provide services on 8/27. All emails and calls go unanswered. Im confident the business owner is stealing my money and wont show up on my wedding day. I want them to honor their promise and provide hair and makeup services OR provide a full refund.
