On July 23, 2021 I had my vehicle in for some service work and was billed for service at this business on my **** ********** Eclipse. They supposedly did the following: Valve cover gasket, including replacing balance shaft belt or chain, **************** Seals, Replaced Water Pump and timing components, radiator hose clamp, stabilizer bar link assembly. During their preliminary inspection of the car and while making these repairs my car was damaged. When I picked up my car I noticed the fenders were very scratched in several spots, the oil pan was dented in several places. During the preliminary inspection I had asked them to be careful and use fender covers. They also over-filled the engine with oil so it continued to burn and leak at the valve cover and could be smelled throughout the car. At the least I would like them to replace the oil pan at no charge. The oil pan is now leaking.Business response

Hello!
I just opened this letter up today and apologize for the delay! I agree there are two sides to a story and with this complaint we feel our side needs to be said.
We pulled the customer's car in and noticed the car had body damage to it including the under part of the car where the oil pan is located.
After working on the vehicle and discussing what we worked on with the customer,he paid and left in good terms. The customer returned sometime after we serviced the vehicle saying we scratched his fenders and dented his oil pan, after we inspected the vehicle we didn't see any new scratches and advised him that the oil pan was cosmetic and not structural, the oil pan looked like it had been struck by something in the road while driving. The pan looked like it had been there a while and was not a fresh dent. The customer understood it was there before bringing his car in to us. He has since called a few other times and made appointments for other service and always misses his appointments. We have assured him that if we had damaged his vehicle we would make sure we would take care of it. We are sorry he feels we did the damage but the vehicle had the cosmetic damage and the oil pan was dented before we serviced the vehicle. We stand behind our work and own any mistakes made when we are at fault. Thank you for contacting us!
